HAHAHAHA suckers guess who's back in business and cannot type anymore cause I've been gone for so long. Sorry about that. I hope you can forgive me. So here's a new chapter of Deep Affection!

I get in the car and start the engine. I turn on the heaters to full blast. I shiver as I wait for the heaters to get warm.

Laurence opens the door and jumps into the passenger seat. He doesn't say anything. He looked straight ahead.

I decided to man up and ask, "Got everything?"

He just nodded. I guess he took what I said earlier seriously. I should be more careful of what I say.

"Hey, look man. I'm sorry for what I said earlier," I commented. I know it may seem like what I said wasn't much, but it was. He's a bit sensitive about everything that involves Aph. It's his only weak point.

"Its fine," Laurence exhaled sharply. "Can we just go?"

"Uh, yeah sure," I stuttered.

I put the car in drive and we drove off to Aphmau's.

I stopped by about a block away. Her street was filled with cars, not just for the people in the neighborhood, but for the people at the party. I rolled my eyes and took out the keys from the ignition.

"Alright, let's go Laurence," I said excitedly as I got out of the car. I want to lighten the mood, but he isn't letting me.

Laurence followed my action. He hasn't said anything the entire drive to Aph's place. It's either I got to him or he's thinking about Aaron and Aphmau actually being a couple and he doesn't stand a chance.

"Hey Laurence, do you wanna talk?" I ask.

"No, not really."

"Okay, well I was trying to start a conversation since we haven't talked since we argued." Which, might I add a little weird. We always talk, even after an argument.

"Don't worry about it. Let's just enjoy the party at Aph's," He shined his bright smile over at me. I showed him back a toothless smile. I know I hurt him.

We got to her door and rang the doorbell. We stood there, silently for a second and then Aph opened the door. Her face lit up as soon as she saw us, which always makes me happy.

"So glad you guys made it!" she exclaimed. She pulled us both down to her height so she can hug us; one of her hands wrapped around my neck and another around Laurence's. We hugged her back and then she stepped aside. We walk in and immediately I was hit by the atmospheric stench of people. It wasn't like Aph wasn't throwing a party with crazy people, but you can definitely tell it was a party.

Some people were in the living room talking with each other with cups in their hands and others were in the kitchen eating. I notice that Aph moved the table between the two couches in the living room to the wall. There were food and drinks set up on the table, a cooler next to it.

I knew everyone, but I still feel that uncomfortable feeling of being smothered between bodies of people. I'm usually comfortable with everyone that's here, too, so I don't know why I'm feeling the need to leave.

This party isn't going to end up good. I can just feel it.

I look to my left side and notice Laurence has gone missing. He normally sticks by my side during one of Aph's gatherings.

I look around and he's with Aph and Aph is with Aaron. This can't be good.

I decided it's probably best to butt into their conversation before Laurence says something bad.
