The five stared at him in confusion.
"What the hell does that mean?"
Sam turned to look at Damon, a glare on his face.
Damon sped to Sam gripping his shoulders.
"What did you do in England?"
He compelled.
"I did well in classes and made some good friends."
Sam repeated.
Damon sighed pushing Sam away from him.
"He's been compelled."
"What the hell does that mean?"
Sam shouted.
"It means vampires. Like me."
Damon let the veins creep out under his eyes as he hissed.
"Damon!"
Everyone shouted at him as Sam jumped back.
"What?"
He rolled his eyes.
Sam groaned throwing his hands up in exasperation.
"I need a drink."
He exclaimed storming out of the house.
"Right behind you Gilbert."
Damon strutted out of the house.
"Hop in."
Damon told him unlocking his car.
"Nice ride Damon."
Dam smirked hopping in the passenger seat.
"Thanks Gilbert, maybe I'll like you after all."

•••

Damon and Sam really did have a nice friendship going.
Of course, if Damon was human he'd probably be calling the authorities.
"And I tried to kill the psycho bitch because she let us believe she had died in a tomb."
"What a bitch, hell I would've killed her too."
Sam and Damon clinked their classes together.
"Sam?"
Matt's surprised voice made Sam smile.
"Matt! How's it going blue eyes?"
Sam smiled shaking Matt's hand.
"Good. What are you doing with this guy?"
Matt glared softly at Damon.
Sam groaned turning to face Damon.
"He knows too?"
Damon shrugged bringing his glass to his lips, then signaling Matt for a refill.
Sam sighed taking a pack of cigarettes out of his back pocket.
"I need a smoke."
He pushed himself off of the bar, pausing to tell Damon something.
"And don't tell Elena."

He walked to the back alley of the Mystic Grill.
He lit up a cigarette inhaling the smoke.
He blew it out with a content smile.
"Don't you know that causes cancer."
A hand slapped his back softly making Sam jump.
The man smirked taking the cigarette and stomping it into the ground.
Sam looked at him wide eyed.
"Ah come on, relax daring!"
He smirked chuckling.
Sam turned trying to head back into the Grill only to be stopped by another man.
"Come on Kol don't scare the boy."
The blonde man smirked.
"Hello there love."
"Niklaus, he looks like a caged animal."
A smooth voice made Sam spin again seeing another man with brown hair, who was dressed much nicer then the other two.
He was now cornered by three men with devilishly good looks.
"If you all weren't so hot I'd be a lot more terrified."
Sam tried to joke but remained on his heels.
"Always the charmer aren't you darling?"
The first man smirked.
"Who might you be?"
Sam asked.
"We're the ones who know what you did in England."
Sam spun to face the blonde man once again.
"For gods sake you're all scaring him half to death."
The suited man had a small smirk.
"I'm Elijah."
The man smirked.
"But if you think back you already knew that."
The one who kept saying 'darling' spoke up again.
"The hell is this?"
Damon appeared behind the blonde man.
"Ah Damon."
Blondie smirked.
"Tell your friend if he wants to know what happened in England we're always close by."
And with that the three disappeared from the alley.
