I sat in my PJs on the couch, flipping through the channels. The front door opened and Alex came in. I threw a glare his way, then turned my attention back to the TV. "(Y/N)." He said. I don't feel like talking to this idiot. "(Y/N) you know you have to talk to me sooner or later." I turned the TV off and walked upstairs. I went into my room and closed the door. I went on my phone and scrolled through Instagram. I got a text message from my best friend, Celia. Hey boo, how's it going? She texted. I smiled. I don't get to see her as much anymore. Her and her parents moved away a few months ago, so it's been hard for us to meet up. I'm great! How are you? I texted back. Well it's quite boring still. Made any new friends since I ain't there to be with you ;) I rolled my eyes playfully. I actually just met someone. His name is Marshall. Pretty nice guy that I know of. She responded right away. IS HE CUTE?! IS HE INTO YOU?! I blushed. Well, he's not bad looking, he's friends with my brother, so I might just ask him. I texted. Oh yeah, how's Alex? I looked at the door. He's okay I guess. I put my phone down and walked out of my room. I went downstairs to get something to eat. I haven't eaten since noon, and it's 9 right now. Alex walked out of the kitchen holding a glass of water. He looked really tired and wore out. We looked at each other, but I kept walking. "Come on, sis! You can't be mad at me for ever!" He said. I looked in the fridge, but of course, there was nothing. "Dang it." I said. "Hey, you spoke!" He said, pointing. I glared at him. Maybe I should ask Marshall if he wants to go get food. It's only been an hour since he dropped me off, but still. I walked upstairs and grabbed my phone. I clicked on Marshall's name and texted him. Hey, You hungry? He responded right away. I could eat I guess, why?   Well because there's nothing here and my brother won't shut the fuck up.   I'll be your Superman. See you in a little bit. I smiled at his reply. Alex raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?" I looked over at him. "None of your business." I sneered. He sighed and walked away. I went and grabbed a coat, then waited in the living room for Marshall. Alex sat on the couch and turned the TV on. "Where are you going?" He asked. I looked at him again. "Somewhere with Marshall." I said. I know I can't not avoid my brother. After all, we live in the same house and our rooms are across from each other. He took a sip from his glass and peered over it at me. "Slim? You're going out with Slim?!" He asked. I nodded. "Be carful, (Y/N)." He said. I raised an eyebrow. "You're telling me to be careful, yet he offered me a ride here while you were getting high!" I yelled. He stood up. "You know damn well I don't smoke that shit! Your new boyfriend does though!" He shot back. I clenched my fists. "He's not my boyfriend! He's simply a friend who was there for me when you weren't." Alex rolled his eyes. "Seriously? Just because I wouldn't drop what I was doing and drive you home, I wasn't there for you?!" He huffed and left the room.
