Banana

My friends had gotten me to write this weird one…prepare to be mentally scarred. Nope, not scary, just…unusual.

The bruised banana lay on the floor, 1 million feet away from where it was conceived. The big and dying tree cried as its last surviving offspring lay battered, only to be eaten alive by the ravenous fruit flies that danced over it in a ritual. The banana was forgotten, and the mercilessly warm sidewalk encouraged a faster death. Its last few sights of life were ripped away as the fruit flies finished it off, the rotting peel left to simmer in the sun and release the putrid scent of its mourning. The banana that wore it was gone and the tree that gave birth to it had borne enough and would be cut down soon. What a sad, short life of a banana.
