It’s raining.

The rain is falling and heavily knocking at my skull. The voices. The voices. The voices. Why won’t they shut up? I am watching the rain fill the roaring river below me. The sweet noises. The disgusting noises. Something buzzes past me. I lose my balance. I am falling. The voices. I keep hearing them. The water splashes around me. I barely feel the impact. The wind screams at me. So much noise. I cannot take it. The river pulls me along with it. I hold onto a rock. I cannot take it. The universe is against me. The noise. With difficulty I find myself hanging onto a tree. I jump. The ground feels mushy and slippery. I cannot hear my own thoughts. Just the voices and the noise. I jab two twigs in my ears. I feel the sticky blood gush out. The rain washes it away. My clothes cling to me. I sit and watch the scene in silence.
