"Maria?" "Ma'am?" "Excuse me?" Snapping back to reality, Maria turned her head towards the stranger. "I'm sorry, the barista was calling your name. They must've assumed you left, but I grabbed it from the counter for you." A tall handsome man said. Taken aback from his striking features, Maria stumbled on her words "Oh! I- Wow, just- oh how embarrassing, I'm so sorry." "No, no worries. I was behind you in line and heard you tell them your name. Do you uh-mind if I sit here?" "Please" she gestured towards the seat. " That guy must be a real pain. You were in such deep thought! Does that happen a lot?" he said smiling taking a seat. With a gentle laugh, Maria replied, "You have no idea, but that's not usually how I start my days. I'm sorry,I-I didn't catch your name." "Rafael...Suarez" he said reaching his hand across the table. 'Beautiful name for a beautiful man,' Maria thought .'and his eyes'. Rafael had the most unusual set of eyes. Hazel, with gold flecks surrounding the iris's. His olive skin was perfect for his black hair that  sculpted around his face. "Nice to meet you." said Maria. "Likewise." Rafael said with a hint of a smile forming on his face. Maria was not the only one that was weak in the knees. Rafael could not stop staring at her beautiful brown eyes. Her brown hair fell in waves down her back as she leaned forward in her seat. Her body, curved and made her skin tight dress fit like a glove. Her full and round were the last place Rafael lingered on.

*Ding* Pulling her eyes away from Rafael's, Maria looked down at her flashing phone on the table: [Meeting in 10 minutes...You're up to no good :) - Alex] "Shoot. How did you make me forget I had a job." Maria laughed at Rafael's shocked reaction. "I'm so sorry,I-" Reassuring him, "No,no,no...gosh no. I was kidding. I was just...distracted." Maria said looking down with a smile. Maria gathered her things, she was lost for words while butterflies gathered in her stomach. "So- um...I should get going." "Yes, right." said Rafael, jumping out of his chair. "It was so nice to meet you. Maria, If you don't mind me saying this. But I...think you owe me a coffee." Laughing at what he was inferring, "Really? How so?" said Maria. "Well-" Rafael smiled and stepped closer to Maria. "If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have had your coffee today. I saved yours. It would be down the drain if it weren't for me. Hence the reason why you owe me one." Maria was conflicted. 'Why am I flirting with him ?' she thought. 'This man likes me, but I cannot be with him in that way. I'm married. One coffee wouldn't hurt though. Just two people having coffee. Plus, I really want to know him better. He seems like the kind of guy to have secrets...' Ending her self-argument she said "Are you free around this time tomorrow?" "Yeah. Anytime is good only if that means I can see you again" The butterflies in her stomach were going crazy. His whole demeanor had sexy written all over it. 'We barely spoke and I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about him all day!' As he walked her to the exit, Maria said her goodbyes, "Well, I will see you in the morning um- around 7:15 ?" " Looking forward to it."

As she got to her car, Maria maintained a huge smile on her face. She couldn't believe what she had just did. 'What will Cillian do when or if he finds out. Honestly the whole town. She had to be very careful tomorrow' she thought.  Shaking him off, she just kept thinking three words: 'it's only coffee'. Now, she was ready to start her day.
