Roxy and Will both snapped out of each other's gaze. Once again, their thoughts were similar.

'What if she thinks I'm weird for staring at her?! I screwed up already!'
Will panicked inside, but instead pretended it was all normal.
"Hello! My name is Will. I've told I'll be learning beside you!"
He shook her hand, hoping it wasn't sweaty.

Roxy smiled and shook his hand. The palm was sweaty, but she didn't notice, too much in her own thoughts. It's not like she would have cared either, when she was so star struck at the moment.
"Nice to meet you Will! My name is Roxanna, but please call me Roxy!"
'I probably looked like some man hunter staring at him like that! God I messed it up already, hopefully he didn't notice???'

Halt blinked slowly at the two. The obvious stares they were giving each other made him want to face palm at his apprentices.
"Anyways! Roxy did all of the chores; Will, you'll do them all tomorrow and then after that they will be split evenly. Roxy, take a break and rest here to recover. Will, outside for splitting wood, I forgot to add that to the list."
He spoke firmly, breaking the silence and ushering Will out the door and leading him to the axe.

"Wow... he's better than I ever imagined... I bet he has a girlfriend already, who am I kidding? I don't like him do I? I barely know but his name! Think Roxy, think..."
She murmured to herself, trying to reign in her emotions.
————Time Skip, 2 week's later————

Roxy and Will had been training together, done chores together, fought with and against each other. Already, Halt had noticed, they worked together with an uncanny ability. It was like a well-liked machine when they cleaned, a smooth, deadly waltz when they fought side by side.
"This was better than I had hoped... they have made progress. It is time."
He spoke to himself, walking over to them. The pair were sitting on the ground and sharpening their knives, laughing loudly at a joke Will had made.

Roxy looked up, then Will. Whenever Half called them to attention with that look on his face, they both knew that he meant business; something important.
"I have decided to take you both on a simple mission. Crowley informed me of two bandits scampering around and taking from any person they see. We must stop them before they begin to kill innocent people. I believe you are ready, but here me when I say, do NOT fight or attack until I say so."
The two young rangers nodded quickly, smiling from ear to ear. That smile widened again once Halt told them it was time to pick horses.
"Yes!!!"
