Most people probably don't understand. I could just start out by at least saying my name is Chase and I've got a few friends who understand me fully, but for the most part I don't think the world will ever fully understand what I feel about myself, not even my parents. I'm non-binary like the title of the book may imply, but that's just a label and I wish that I could just be myself. Everyday it's like the world is constantly pressuring me to have a certain name to make life easy on them but life is not simple and never will be.
Oh another thing is that I'm demisexual probably another thing no one understands other than the people that actual are willing to listen to me when I talk about this stuff. I go to school walking through the halls and just hope that one day everybody in this group of 1,000-ish students will understand what it's like for me as a person. That's just my average day though and days just got more confusing for others and they never got me. That's where my friend Anna came in and got me through each situation I was going through.
The thing with Anna was she was going through a similar situation, but see nobody understood how he felt about himself. You heard me right, but he tends to go by Ian now and wears buttoned up shirts with jeans. But no one understands us and we tend to be part of the out crowd, so we just eat lunch with each other commenting on each person and just being the people we are. Yeah that's how it is in my school only a small group of people are part of the LGBT community and people that aren't just don't understand us.
