~STANS POINT OF VIEW~
I woke up with a throbbing headache, and the loud alarm wasn't helping either. I knew last night before I went to the party that it would be a bad idea, and that possibly this year I could have a new start, but the moment I saw the beer, I was instantly drawn, and everything after that was a blur.
I went to the kitchen, and of course no one was there.
My mom must of already been downstairs in the restaurant with my sister.
My family is not the wealthiest, and we make a living out of the restaurant my mom created. We live right above the restaurant, because it is more convenient for my family.
When we were younger my mom as a single mother had to make the choice to either send me or my little sister to school, and she chose me. My sister is homeschooled, because we just don't have the funds to send both of us.
When I tell people this story, they tell me I should be grateful that I am able to go to a nice school, but honestly, I think that my sister Stacy would have been a better fit for school.
I made my way onto the bus, and after we made a couple stops, a girl I have not yet seen came onto the bus.
she must be a freshman I thought.
I looked at her and noticed that she was staring at me. I looked away, kind of flustered because it was only the first day, and I have already been noticed.
at school I am known as a player, so mostly when new girls come their older friends tell them to beware of me. I guess because its her first day, she must have not known yet.
**2 hours later**
The morning had been a hungover haze from the epic party that had happened the night before. I want to say I regret getting so drunk and high...but drugs and alcohol were the only things that take away the pain.
I was walking though the hallways trying not to actually puke everywhere, until I felt myself collide with some girl.
"oh, um, sorry" I said half heartedly.
She said something else that I didn't quite pick up, because I was too busy staring at her.
Wait, this is the girl that I saw on the bus. I thought kind of in shock.
She looked up at me and stopped her sentence and I went down to help her pick up her books.
"um, can I um, help you pick t-the books up?" I stuttered.
Wait, what the hell. I never stutter over a girl. It must be the hangover I tried to convince myself.
We finished picking up her books and I asked her "can I walk you to class?"
"sure", she said, her voice was so soft and soothing that I almost kissed her right then and there.
"Im Stan, what's your name?" "Im Jeanine", she said.
I spent the rest of the walk casually explaining how high school works. My words were smooth but my heart was practically beating out of my chest.
When we got to her honors math class, it hit me, a smart gorgeous girl like her would never want to be with a deadbeat drug addict like me.
