Time travel is not fun. If you are unlucky enough to experience this, you will know that it is the most terrifying thing that you will most likely ever do. Before I get into detail on how I got to experience time travel in the first place, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Armaeus (ARE-MAY-OUS), I am the second son of the Titan Lord Kronos, the Lord of Time. I lived at the headquarters of the Titans, training in secret waiting for the day I was ready to fight in the war. I was never allowed outside of the palace, the reason being that I was Kronos's secret weapon. The other Titans (Kronos was always at the palace unless it was a emergency or an important battle) would often visit and we would duel, chariot race and all that other entertaining stuff.

However, when there were no guests, my father would train me. Kronos had trained me harshly over the years and told me that I would rule the world with him one day (who wouldn't be excited to rule the world with your own father?). After 15 years, I was his best fighter, I could kill anyone who stood before me with relative ease. I was not just handy with my sword however, I was also powerful in the art of time bending, the power I inherited from my father, which also makes me a Demi-Titan. Now you may hear of "demi-gods", and they are brave and all, but I am ten times more powerful. As you should know, the gods' powers are NOTHING compared to the Titan's.

Now I had been told awhile ago that on my 16th birthday, I was to burn the insides of the Ophiotaurus and gain the power to kill gods! My first thought was "cool," but I have never been so wrong in my life. On the morning of my 16th birthday, I woke up to my father shaking me. "They fell for it, victory shall soon be ours!"
"So thy plan worked? I'm guessing it did by the tone in thy voice." I replied.
Kronos chuckled and said, "They hath taken the decoy and are now celebrating their 'Victory' on Olympus, but little do they know they are celebrating their own demise!" His face took on a more serious look, "now my son, thou hath trained well, thou art ready to take on the power that I hath told thee about many times, ye will change the tides in our favor and we shall win this cursed war! Now come, claim the power thee were destined to have."

I got dressed in my battle armor quickly and excitedly followed my father to the front gate (if you can even consider it a front gate, it was taller than a obelisk!). When the doors opened, they revealed an army of monsters, giants and titans crowding the courtyard. I had seen monsters before, but never this many in one area. Many of them I could tell were captains and generals, seated in places of high honor. The monsters ranged from hydras to orcs, which would terrify any mortal to the core. I found it funny that I knew all of their weaknesses and how I could kill each and every one before they even spoke a word.

When my father and I walked out the door, everyone fell silent almost instantly. All the generals stood in salute. Then my father addressed them in his loud, terrifying tone that no one dare disobey, "This, is my son, Armaeus. He hath spent many years preparing for this moment. He hath trained harshly under my supervision and hath proven himself a great warrior. He is to burn the Ophiotaurus's entrails and gain the power to destroy the gods and end this cursed war once and for all!" The monsters roared with excitement and I stepped forward with my father and walked to the sacrificial pit.

Then, one of the monsters stepped in front of me. To sum it up quickly, he looked like a giant baby who had been drinking WAY to much fermented wine, had two heads, tattoos all over his body and two pairs of arms. He shouted, "How is this boy worthy? He hath not been shown to us till now, and thou art going to give him the honor of being the one to destroy the gods!? No, I will fight him first and see if he is as powerful as thy claim!"
I instantly drew my celestial bronze sword, he drew four, one for each hand. I look to my father, but he doesn't even try to stop it, instead he says, "He is right, let my son show his strength against Shathkan, my leading sergeant of monsters, this will be fun to watch." He and the monsters cleared a circle around us and start cheering.
Shathkan stepped forward, laughing like a madman, "Get ready to get thee bones grinded boy."
I replied "thy thinks to much of thyself, I shall kill thee in such a way that thy shall stay in Tartarus for five millennia!" Shathkan ran and swung two of his swords at me, I sidestepped and cut off one of his heads, two of his arms and a leg within two seconds. They regenerated almost as fast as I cut them off. He turned around laughing, "Thee will have to do better than that boy!" He picked up his swords and charged me again, I sliced off his hands and stabbed him in the chest. It did nothing except make him kick me to the other side of the circle. I landed on my feet however, and thought for a second. I figured that I would have to cut his heads off and slice him in half to stop his heart. He charged me again laughing maniacally and swung his top set of swords, I ducked under them and jumped just as he swung his bottom pair of swords. I used his second pair of blades as a boost and within two swipes, I cut off both of his heads and sliced him in half on my way down. He then evaporated into dust and his swords clattered to the ground.

I stood there breathing heavily, the crowd of monsters standing shocked at the maneuver I had just made. Then, Kronos said "There thou hath it, he hath bested thy own sergeant in single combat. Would anyone else like to test my son's abilities?" No one volunteered. So, I walked a little farther with my father and we reached the great fire pit. Then, he proceeded to open a box that was made of celestial bronze with brutal scenes engraved on the lid and sides of it, take out the bloody entrails and hand them to me. I didn't see how burning these slimy, bloody insides would make me more powerful than the gods, but I was more than happy to throw them in the fire and get them out of my hands. As soon as the fire touched them, they turned into a silver smoke. I instinctively held out my hand. The mist started to swirl around it, and In my palm, the silver mist started to form a handle of a sword, but it was only the handle, not the blade or hilt. It started to get more and more materialized until I held a silver, glowing sword hilt in my hand. It had a strange emblem on the handle that looked like an hour glass and glowed brightly. I wrapped my fingers around the hilt and suddenly blacked out.

I found myself on the ruins of Olympus, it was totally devastated, not a statue was left standing. I saw myself, but I was older, I'd say by about 6 years or so. The older me was talking to my father.
"Victory over the Gods proved easier than I expected, I'm glad we ended it" I heard myself say.
My father replied, "I am too, But there is one more thing that needs to be done to ensure my rule never ends" Out of nowhere, he stabbed the older me. Even though it wasn't really me getting stabbed, I felt it, but strangely, Kronos winced as well. I could tell that the blade he used was his personal favorite. It would slowly and painfully rip your soul away from your body. As the older me was dying, shocked and betrayed, Kronos said "This is the only way I can ensure victory. Thee must die along with the Bane so I hath no other threats to my endless rule. Good night my son, thank thee for thy service.".

What would be the point of me serving my father just to die? I had been promised so much, could it all be a lie? I felt like a huge rock had been strapped to my back. I could either believe this vision from some strange oracle, or my father who I had known my whole life. He surly wouldn't kill me for power, would he? But I couldn't deny how much he hungered for it. I realized that I had no other choice. I knew that my father would destroy anything that had the slightest chance to dethrone him, including me. it was in his nature. I knew what I had to do.
