“Again I do wish to apologize for Hidan. He’s hard headed and tends to put his wants above everything else.” Pein said as he led me from the room and down the hall to the right.

“I wouldn’t like to lie and say that its fine but I’m alive and so it makes up for it.” I said feeling  slightly uncomfortable to be having a casual conversation with my kidnapper. I couldn’t help but to also feel a strange sense of security from Pein.  His hand grip was strong around mine but gentle.

“Though all of our members are s-ranked criminals you will find that most of them have more manners than Hidan and Kakuzu, Hidan more specifically.”

“I kind of picked that up from that woman who was there. She seems too nice to be a criminal.”

“Her names Konan she’s like my sister. We grew up together and she is my second in command. I trust no one more that I do her.”

“Why not send her out to fetch me then? I’m sure she could have convinced me to come willingly.” I asked

“She’s too important to me for me to send her out on her own. Though she is strong and can handle herself I need her close to me.”

“Ah I see.”

“Trust me when I say if anyone else was available when my scouts spotted you I would have sent them instead. Unfortunately  and against my better judgment I sent Hidan and Kakuzu because they were the closest to your location.”

“Well they definitely made a first impression especially Hidan. I never expected to meet someone like him.” I said my memories flashing to Hidan when his skin had changed

“His ability is very shocking when first encountering him. His abilities are very unique and that’s what make him and Kakuzu so successful even during the most suicidal missions. Our undying two.”

“No kidding they freak me out.” I said getting a few goose bumps as my brain thought back to when Kakuzu detach his arm.

“You will get use to them but we’ll talk more about that later. We can talk in private in here.” Pein said stopping outside a heavy steel door.

I frowned as I began to feel uncomfortable again. The door was locked by multiple steel pistons going from the very top to the bottom. From what I could see there was no key hole or a nob.

“You might want to take a step back.” Pein said as he released my hand.

I took a big step back from him and the door. For a moment the thought of making a break for it crossed my mind. I shook the thought away though. I wasn’t entirely sure how big the facility was and I wasn’t concise when I had been brought in so I could get lost easy. Also I wouldn’t even think of abandoning Nami and leave her here with Hidan and Kakuzu. So instead I just stood back and waited.

Pein made a single hand sign and placed his hand over the door. Electricity sparked out from under his palm and into the door. There was a loud sound of gears grinding and the pistons began resending, unlocking the door.
