Song of the Chapter: She Wolf
Arion woke up, he was in a dark cave.
"Arion?"
"Penny?"
The medicine mare breathed a sigh of relief.
"Yes Arion, I'm here. Do you remember what happened?"
"I was attacked."
"By what?" Arion recognized Storms voice.
"A mountain lion, I killed it."
"Lay back down Arion," Penny said, her voice was kind but stern.
Arion did what he was told and Penny rubbed some paste into his wounds.
"When you heal you are going back to practice fights."
Arion did not know how to respond.
"Penny?"
"Yes?"
"Will it scar?"
Penny rolled her eyes, "You stallions worried about looks, you will be fine."
Arion gave her a light laugh, his vision was less blurry and he could see Penny giving him a small smile. Storm nodded seeing that his colt was fine he took his time to leave. Penny sighed watching him go.
"Stay down for a bit Arion I will tell you when it is time to get up."
Arion nodded, the sweet smell of the herbs in Penny's cave smelled delicious. He licked his lips.
"Arion my royal presence has arrived!"
"Shush! He could still be sleeping!" Sunny's hush voiced whispered.
Arion opened one eye.
'He is awake!"
Sunny rolled her eyes giving Arion a small smile.
"Are you ok?"
He laughed wincing at the sudden movement, "I've been better."
"What really happened anyway?" Dusty said pushing past the mare.
"Nice to see you too Dusty."
Dusty laughed and Sunny gave him a stern look.
"This is why I am the favorite." She said proudly.
Dusty opened his mouth to argue but Arion cleared his throat. The two horses quieted and perked their ears forward listening.
"I was taking a drink and then the lion attacked me."
