{A/N} Thanks for deciding to read my story. A lot of stuff happens even though it's the first chapter.

Song: Female Robbery - The Neighbourhood

My head was heavy as I slumped my body weight on the side of the door. I groggily sat up on the passenger seat and tried rubbing the sleep from my eyes. The clock read 4:35, I had been asleep for about 3 hours. I guess I had been lulled into dormancy by the movement of the car and the powerful yet soft roar of the engine.

My gaze landed on the environment outside my car window. I was surprised to say the least, that we had finally arrived at our destination, the new place I would have to eventually call home.

The never ending rows of houses were just a blur of color as the car zoomed by them. Never the less I still managed to take a good look at the structure of these houses, they were humongous. They were at least triple the size of my old home, made of brick and with a very modern design. I watched in awe at this foreign yet ostentatious neighbourhood. A small unfamiliar feeling began to gnaw at my stomach, something about this place just wasn't right for me.

Suddenly the car came to an abrupt halt. I had been lost admiring this place that I didn't realize that we had turned into a long driveway that I most certainly believed belonged to our new home.

"Where here, out everybody out" my dads cheerful voice bounced throughout the car.

My brother and I who had been quiet for the last couple of minutes, most likely mesmerized by our surroundings immediately maneuvered our way out of the car.

"Oh my isn't it lovely" my mother said as she looked up at the massive house.

And she was right, the house was two stories high, constructed out of a vibrant red brick with a large yard lined with beautiful flowers. The numerous windows that decorated the home were large; reflecting the suns vibrant rays. To my left there was a tall tree that blocked the sun a bit but caste a long ominous shadow upon us.

"Don't you think this house is a bit too big for the four of us dad?" my brother Landon, said.

"Nonsense, this is the house we always dreamed about and now we finally have it," he said proudly, "Now, go and choose whichever room you want, the moving trucks will be here in a couple."

Without a second thought my brother and I ran towards the front door, even the chestnut colored door was something to admire. My mother was already there fumbling with the keys attempting to open it.

We walked in and once again I was speechless. We were met by that familiar new house smell that every new home seems to obtain. There was a large staircase to the right winding up to the second floor. A large window was above the front door allowing the light of day to seep in. The floors were hardwood the same beautiful chestnut color the door was, I felt it was to pretty to be stepped on by my worn out vans.

I followed my brother up the stairs and we gradually made our way to the second floor. There was a long hallway before us with about 3 doors on each side, a massive window was at the very end. I made my way to the last one on the right. I opened the doorknob and flung the door open, to reveal the perfect room. It was large in size, like everything else in this home.

To the end was a window, with a glass door leading to a balcony. I immediately new that's were I'd be spending most hours of my day. Another door to my left led to a walk in closet, and further down was a bathroom with small blue tiles adorning the floor. This is it, my new room, and what a beautiful one it was too.

I made my way out to the balcony and that's when I heard it. Two male voices where shouting incoherent words to one another. I tried to find the source of these shouts, looking every which way. They got louder and louder as if they were getting closer to me. They were definitely coming from one of our neighbours houses, but which one? I was just starting to like this place and now I had to deal with rowdy neighbours like these. I was debating whether or not I should just walk away or go to the source. I jumped when I heard a crash followed by an ear piercing scream.
