None Of This Is Real!

Start from the beginning

"Kenji! No!" Ayaka's yelling rang in her ears. What was going on? "Aya! Where's Kenji? What's happening?!" Naomi shouted, worried and confused. Aki looked back, he didn't want to leave without Kenji. They had so much fun together at the park! And what about Ayaka? He was just starting to warm up to her! Nana was closer to tears than he was, fearing for her sister.

"Naomi! Run!" Ayaka yelled at the top of her lungs, the horror she was feeling clear in her voice. Just the sound of her terror-filled voice made them even more afraid of what was happening. The sound of a door swinging open and slamming against the wall was heard, and their eyes widened.

Naomi hastily scooped up Aki and held him under one arm as she grabbed Nana's hand. She then ran like the wind out the door. The red Jeep was parked nearby, moonlit and gleaming. This certain small part of the neighborhood mostly had empty houses for rent, the one they found was simply abandoned, there was only two elderly living in two of the houses on that block.

It was a chilly night, and as Naomi ran her skirt to her school uniform flitted behind her in the breeze. She dropped Aki and opened the door for them. He quickly slid into the middle of the back seats. Nana climbed over him and sat next to the window where she was sitting before. Naomi shut the door behind them and got into the driver's seat and waited, impatiently drumming her fingers against the steering wheel.

Kenji gripped the doorknob, pushing Ayaka out of the way. Ayaka backed up, and once she heard Naomi's voice, she yelled, "Naomi! Run!" Once she heard the front door open and slam close along with the scurrying of feet, she ran into the living room and grabbed a chair that fell onto its side on the floor.

Kenji opened the the door, and walked inside without a second thought. The room was empty except for a dusty stool, a few torn pieces of paper scattered around the room, and a very tall dresser.

There's no one here, Kenji thought. It was all in my head, in their head, I knew it all along. He smiled smugly, walking into the middle of the room. "Hah! There's no one in here! What did you expect? That Jeff The Killer would get me?" He called over his shoulder.

"Where are my legs?" A voice croaked. Kenji gasped, his pulse began to race. No way he heard that. There was nobody there! No one! No one is in here!!

"My legs..." The same voice whispered.

Kenji trembled with fear. He stepped back. "Who said that?" He asked boldly, trying to hide the fear in his voice, but failing. His voice cracked and he was visibly shaking with terror.

Tap....Tap...Tap....

Kenji spun around towards the dresser, where the noise was coming from. A scythe was gently tapping against the doors of the tall dresser. His chocolate brown eyes followed the edge of the scythe all the way up to the pale face of a girl. She was perched up on the top of the dresser, she held a scythe in one hand while the other hung over the side of the dresser.

"Who are you?!" Kenji demanded, backing up even more. Without answering, the girl leaped into the ground, revealing her bone chilling feature. The other half of her body was gone, and her clothes were blood stained. Kenji gawked at her with terror and revulsion.

The disfigured girl lunged at him, and he swiftly dodged her, moving into the doorway. She hit the floor with a thud, the scythe making a clatter sound as she did. Kenji ran out of the room, and into the living room, where Ayaka grabbed a chair.

TEK! TEK! TEK!

The Tek Tek monster pounced on Kenji, doubling him over. She raised the scythe into the air, ready to bring it down hard. Slicing through flesh and bone, ready to paint the floor with crimson as he would soon be split in half. Her blue, lifeless eyes bore into his and seemed to stare straight through his skull. Kenji stared back, eyes as big as saucers.

"ARGH!" Ayaka brought the wooden chair down hard onto the disfigured girl's head. The Tek Tek dropped the scythe in her hand, surprised and infuriated at the same time. This allowed Kenji to crawl from under her as Ayaka continued to bash the chair against the thing's head with all her strength. One blow after the other. The Tek Tek's pale forehead split, a fine crack going down the middle. A thin ribbon of blood dripped from it. She'd broke her skull.

With one last hit, Ayaka threw the chair onto the ground and made a run for the front door. Kenji soon followed, and both were flying across the street. They ran to the Jeep as fast as their legs could carry them.

Naomi noticed this and started up the car. Ayaka quickly slid into the passenger's seat and buckled up, while Kenji climbed in beside Aki, who instantly tackled him in a hug. Nana pulled Ayaka into a big hug as well.

"Now do you believe me?" Ayaka asked Kenji. He muttered something inaudible under his breath, but Nana was sure he murmured, "Not real..." and looked out the window.
