"Get out!" The woman yelled hysterically, holding her small baby in her hands as it wept. "Get out or I'm calling the police!" She backed up as if the two girls were a threat to her and her child.

Nana cried even harder along with the baby. Ayaka was just standing there staring at the lady as if she was an escaped mental hospital patient. The woman ran to her house phone and quickly dialed 911 with the baby still wrapped in her other arm.

"WAIT!" Ayaka yelled, stepping forward.

"Why are you still inside my house?" The woman snapped, more calmly.

"We're being chased!"'Ayaka answered, running up to her and attempting to get the phone back.

"I wonder if Nana and Aya are okay..." Naomi said to no one in particular as she watched the road in front of her. Driving sure was hard, she was sure she was going over the speed limit. She hit the brakes and the car stopped abruptly, almost throwing her forward.

"That's right, seat belt!" Naomi strapped on her seat belt. She heard the police sirens get louder. "I'd better hurry," she told herself. "I'm sure I'll find them somehow, unless they didn't get killed..." She stepped on the gas pedal once again and the car sped up.

"Chased?" The woman replied questioningly. Before they could reply a small voice came from the house phone she was holding, "Hello, 911, what's your emergency?"

"THEY'RE TRYING TO KIDNAP MY BABY!" The woman practically screamed into the telephone. Ayaka and Nana flinched before Ayaka dashed out the door with Nana behind her. The Tek Tek wasn't in sight, and they ran into the street, and a pair of headlights landed on them.

"AGH!" Naomi instinctively stomped on the brakes and the car screeched to a halt. Ayaka flinched, the blue Ford being only two feet in front of them. Any further and they would've been hit!

"Watch where you're going, dummy!" Nana hissed.

"Sorry!" Naomi called back apologetically. "I'm trying my best, y'know!" Ayaka and Nana ran around the side of the car, Nana tried to climb into the passenger seat, but her older sister nudged her back. "Back seat." She replied. Nana pouted and slid into the back as her sister sat in front.

"Are you sure you know how to drive this thing?" Ayaka asked, quickly putting her seat belt on. "I hear the police!" Nana exclaimed in a panicked tone.

SMASH!

The deafening sound surprised them all, and they screamed in unison. A scythe was jutting into the back window, not the sides but the one right behind where Nana was sitting. Nana screamed to the top of her lungs and ducked in her seat. "GO!" Ayaka practically yelled in Naomi's face, who in return stepped on the gas pedal and the deep blue vehicle sped forward at an incredible speed.

Nana yelped in surprise as the car suddenly moved forward. "Nana get back into your seat!" Ayaka ordered. Naomi gripped the steering wheel as a bead of sweat rolled down her forehead. You can do this! She thought, turning the corner and making the vehicle swerve around a police car. Nana yelped again, causing Ayaka to yell at her again until she finally climbed into her seat and buckled up her seat belt.

The police car swerved also and stopped before following them. "Oh my God, what do I do?!" Naomi yelled with tears brimming in her eyes. "The p-police are behind us!" Ayaka looked behind her and saw blue and red flashes of light behind their car.

"Naomi, DRIVE!" Ayaka and Nana yelled in unison, trembling with fear. Naomi nodded before slamming down on the acceleration, causing the deep blue car to jolt into motion.

Red and blue lights glimmered in the atmosphere, illuminating the inky darkness around them. Nana seemed to pause in time as she heard a faint scraping. Her heart skipped a beat.

Tek tek, tek tek...

"Ayaka..." Nana asked uncertainly. Was that what she thought it was? She craned her neck around but due to her bad eyesight, her vision was lost in the aphotic night. Her hearing was perfect though, and she was certain she could hear a light tapping behind her.

Tek tek, TEK TEK TEK TEK TEK-

"AYAKA!" Nana screamed, catching Ayaka's attention. She turned, ready to scold Nana for screaming, but was stopped when she saw a long claw slide our from the boot of the car.

She gulped loudly, sweat droplets falling from her face as her heart fluttered in her chest. Was that — no it couldn't be...

But it was.

"STOP THE CAR!" Ayaka bellowed, but didn't allow Naomi to move as she slammed her own foot on the breaks.

Shrill cries filled the car as they were all jerked forward, almost hitting their heads on the dashboard. Everything seemingly happened in slow motion at the next events that took place.

The Tek Tek lurched forward, scythe in hand, and thrusted the sharp blade in Nana's face. Ayaka gasped and jumped before her, knocking the weapon from her hand.

Naomi, too aghast to move, stared at the monster in horror. Its eyes were a cold, icy blue, its hair a mess of tangles and knots, and its skin was wax-like and haggard. She was a picture of terror and ugly, all put into one — and it sent a rippling chill down Naomi's spine.

"Naomi, what're you doing? DRIVE!" Ayaka shrieked once she noticed Naomi's a-dear-caught-in-headlights look.

Her words snapped her into reality, and she highered the gear before slamming down on acceleration once again. This jolted the Tek Tek forwards and, without anything in her way to stop her, she smashed through the window screen.

Nana shivered, looking back and seeing they'd almost lost the police car.

"GO FASTER, WE'VE ALMOST LOST THEM!" She half shouted, half cheered. Although she'd gone through a lot of terrorising scenes in the past days, this sudden, positive thought made her feel overwhelmed in excitement.

Naomi drove faster and faster, enjoying the exhilarating feeling rushing through her veins. I'm driving, she thought, I proved mum wrong! I can drive!

She sped through traffic lights, dodged the other cars and drove further off, swerving through the night and making a terrible ruckus, the adrenaline rush coursing through her veins. They managed to ignore all the horns beeping at them, and people giving them 'the finger' while they drove like a mad man.

Nana sat in her seat, pale and sweating at the speed of the car. She was sure Naomi would crash and they'd all die a sudden death. The thought made her knuckles go white too as she gripped the seat harder. Suddenly feeling car sick.

Ayaka, on the other hand, rolled down the window beside her and stuck her head out, breathing in the fresh, city air. The crisp autumn wind lashed against the speeding car and blew her raven black hair all around her face.

Ahhh, she thought.

Arghh! Nana thought.

Eeeek! Naomi thought.

They were all imagining completely different things as the car continued to speed along the roads, through the cimmerian shade and past tall buildings. The city was truly beautiful, and they'd just noticed now. Once you take the time to just take it all in, it seems much more prettier than you'd imagined. No wonder there were so many tourists. The city lights sparkled and shimmered, different colored lights reflecting across the buildings around them.

None of them were thinking about the Tek Tek monster running on her elbows up beside the car. It was as if they were in a trance, all their worries just being washed away by the astonishing sight of their home. But they weren't in the clear yet, not as long as a pair of bloodshot eyes were fixed on them and them only.
