Chapter one

 Any minute now the alarm was going to ring and I was gonna have to get up to face another day of this miserable hell hole. The alarm clock started blasting loudly and I knew it was time. Angel was was going to be home any minute now. I got up, changed and did my hair in hopes of making it downstairs to the dining hall before he arrived. He has to keep up his sick charade in front of his pack and therefore I'm considered untouchable in the presence of them. If his father the Alpha knew what his son was really like, he would never pass down the title to him and he would never let him take over the Solary pack.

Finishing with my hair I grabbed my cell phone and headed down stairs where everybody was getting ready to eat

 ''Good morning Delilah," said Angel's mom, Natalia.

"Good morning," I replied flatly.

"Aren't you just so exited that Angel will be home any minute now?" Natalia asked, who was still completely oblivious to the fact that her son was actually a monster.

"Oh joy,” I started to reply but was cut off by the front door bursting open and in walked a happy looking Alpha Nickolai, Angel and some other members of the pack.

My eyes landed right on Angel. To everyone else it probably looked like he was happy to be home but I could tell just by the malicious glint in his green eyes that he was pissed. The only thing I could do was prepare myself for the beating he was going to give me later.

'"It’s so good to have you boys home," greeted Natalia as she pulled Nicolai and Angel in for a hug whilst all that passed through my mind is how annoying it is to be around someone who's always so cheerful.

"Well, I'm off to school'' I announced,  eagerly trying to get out the door as fast as possible when a hand shot out and stopped me.

''Wait, I'll give you a ride," said Angel

"Okay," I agreed quietly, knowing that if I protested it would only give him more of a reason to hit me later.

''Well, aren't you going to say Hi or did you not miss me?” asked Angel looking me straight in the eye.

"Hi," I said through clenched teeth as he yanked me towards him, forcing me to give him a hug when all of a sudden the front door burst open and the pack’s Beta Andrew came in looking worried.

"Alpha Nick," he said sounding panicked. He’s at the border, and is requesting an audience with you personally."

"It’s him. It’s Damon" said Natalia. "It has to be," she whispered.

"He says that he's not looking for any trouble. He just wants to talk," said Andrew

"Like hell. He will pay for what he did. I won’t rest until his blood is on my hands," said Angel coldly. I didn’t know why hearing him say that he was going to hurt a complete stranger affected me so much but I knew I couldn't let that happen.

"Please don't hurt him," yelled Natalia as we all watched Angel fling himself out the door. The only thing running through my mind was that I had to get out there and stop him. On pure instinct I ran after him. I ran through the forest following his scent not knowing what to expect, but all I could focus on was the yelling.

"I want mine back!" A foreign voice yelled.

"Over my dead body you destroyed mine! " A voice I could only recognize as Angels replied in an equally menacing tone.

"You know that is a lie. I was framed! " Replied the other voice as I approached the border.   When I got to the border what I saw nearly shocked the breath out of me. It was Angel standing face to face arguing with HIMSELF!! They were almost exactly alike. The only difference was that Angel had blond hair and green eyes and the stranger had black hair and blue eyes. He was so breath taking-ly perfect that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. All of a sudden Angel noticed me and let out a menacing growl. He may have been in human form but it was still terrifying .

"Go home Delilah!” He yelled.

"No,” I stuttered as he rushed towards me with a raised hand. I closed my eyes expecting a blow, but it never came. Slowly opening my eyes I was surprised to find Angel lying on the floor and the new guy kneeling right in front of me looking straight into my eyes, he softly cupped my cheek. I felt the tingles all through my body. I knew it was him. My mate. He must have felt it too because he looked at me and said,"I'll come back for you."

"But who are you? " I replied.

"Damon," he said. "Angels twin."

At that moment I started to hear footsteps approaching and I turned around to see Alpha Nick and the Beta fast approaching. I looked back round to face Damon, but he was gone. All that was left of him was  a whisper in the wind telling me not to give up hope.

Suddenly, everything went black but not before I heard angel whispering in my ear that he would deal with me later.
