Hello guys! Sorry I haven't updated in so long, I've been doing a lot of stuff and school just started. Yay? I'll try to update as much as I can, but I've been having major writer's block. MAJOR. So I can't promise any schedules. But I'll do my best! Be sure to comment your opinions also! It really helps me a lot and I love to see what you guys think of my story so far.

"What do you mean, he won't be able to become alpha?" I stared at my father in shock as he gave me some pretty bad news. Adam was alive, thank god, but his injuries were pretty severe and even with his healing abilities, it would never heal properly, so he couldn't become the next alpha. And not only that but he lost his mate, so there was no luna either.

"You know full well why. So sadly," He took in a sharp breath. "The spot goes to you." I stared at him.

"What?" I finally choked out.

"Skyla, I'm sorry, okay? I really am. But we need an apha, or at least a luna, with our blood-line. Otherwise, we lose our title as alphas," He looked at me pleadingly, eyes filled with sorrow and despair. "I hate to do this to my little girl, I hate to. But the good thing is that we aren't forcing you to take on a mate."

"But you are forcing me to go through alpha training." He nodded and I groaned. I knew the basics, but that was because Adam forced me to learn it. I preferred to go by my instinct in battle and I taught myself. During alpha training, my father and other alphas would be helping me, which meant I had to take orders, which I also hated.

"Listen, you need to do it. Besides, you might find your mate there." My mood immediately changed with those five words, 'you might find your mate'. If I did find my mate there, it would be an alpha, which meant my blood-line would be stronger.

"Really! That would be great! Because then he would be handsome, and strong, and-"

"I think it's time to go to school," My dad cut me off. I glared at him and ran outside to wait for Gabe, who usually picked me up with Kyle. Suddenly, I thought of his wounds. I hope they aren't too bad. But my question was answered when Gabe drove up, Kyle in the backseat. I opened the passenger door and almost closed it when I heard Kyle singing (He can't sing, at all, by the way) to Wrecking Ball.

"Kyle, shut the hell up before I rip your throat out," I growled at him, getting in and putting on my seat belt. He glared at me, but stopped singing.

"Thank you! I was about to jump out of the car, his singing was horrible!" Gabe sighed in relief as he started driving.

"No problem, now let's get to school."

"So, you're in the alpha classes now, right?" Gabe asked as we walked into the school building. I sighed and ran a hand down my face. There were five classes in the school. Omega class, regular class, Beta class, Alpha class, and the advanced alpha class. Since I was the next alpha, I was required to take the advanced alpha class.

"Yeah," I groaned. "I don't know how I'll survive! The alpha class was hard enough, and now I have to go to the advanced alpha class? They want me to die of stress!"

"I know it's hard, but you have to think of the pack," Gabe put his hand on my shoulder and smiled. "Besides, I'll be in the class with you!"

"Hey guys!" Kyle hopped in between us. "The Omega class is over there!" He pointed to a group of people outside the building.

"Waiting for everyone else to pass," Gabe growled. "Smart move," Kyle round housed kicked one of the omegas as we passed. The other omegas went to their knees, whimpering, as other wolves laughed. Kyle picked up the omega by his collar and punched him the face.

"Next time, stand farther away!" He growled before giving him one last punch and throwing him to the ground.

"Kick him some more Kyle!" A voice called out from the crowd. Kyle laughed but walked into the building. Kyle liked to kick omegas around, but continuing from here would be too much and he knew it.

"Hey Skyla," Gabe bent down and whispered into my ear. "That omega is glaring at the doors, most likely at Kyle. Go in without me." I stopped and shot Gabe a look. "Or don't," He quickly added.

"That's better," I laughed. "Have fun I guess?" Gabe and Kyle enjoyed roughing the omegas up but it wasn't really my thing. Gabe grabbed the omega that was glaring at the door by the shoulder, and in one movement, flipped him around and punched him in the face. The omega tried to scramble away, but Gabe planted on foot on his chest and pinned him to the ground.

"You have some nerve, glaring at a higher-ranked wolf like that." Gabe sneered as the omega pounded on his leg, glaring at him with pure hate in his eyes.

"You, "higher-ranks", treat us like shit! The most we can do is shoot you dirty looks from time to time!" The omega spat out. Silence fell upon all of the students watching, even Gabe was surprised. But surprise quickly turned to anger.

"Guess you need to learn a lesson!" He roared as he stomped on the omega's chest, causing him to cough out blood. He stomped again and again, and didn't look like he would be stopping anytime soon.

"Gabe, cut it out!" I yelled, running over. "Gabe! You're going to kill him!"

"Stay out of this!" He roared, swinging his arm around and hitting me in the face. I let out a snarl and was about to knock him out when this amazing scent wafted over me. I looked around but looked back at Gabe when I heard him let out a yelp. A guy about the age of sixteen was holding Gabe up by his collar, but this guy was HOT. He had pitch black hair and a nice build. I couldn't see his eyes though.

"You shouldn't be hurting your, "girlfriend" should you? Even if you aren't mates." The mystery guy growled. "And she's right, you're going to kill him."

"What does it matter to you?" Gabe sneered, rubbing his neck as mystery guy dropped him.

"He's a friend," He turned around and helped the omega up. "And it's time to get to class." Just as he said that, the bell rang. Gabe shot him one last glare before storming into the school.

"Thanks, but I could've handled that," I couldn't help but say as I passed him.

"Yeah, but I wanted to make a statement," Mystery guy said, looking me in the eye. And I almost gasped. This guy had the most beautiful green eyes ever. His black hair fell over one of his eyes and he had peircings in his ears. I soon realized that I was staring at him with my mouth open and quickly covered my mouth with my hand. Mystery guy chuckled.

"W-what's your name?" I stammered, still embarrassed.

"Tell me yours first."

"Hey! No fair, I asked first!" He shrugged. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Skyla Dalca, future alpha of the Lightning Heart Pack."

"This almost dead guy is Drake Colburn. He's pretty rebellious, My name is Kayden Gray," Kayden gave me an award-winning smile. "And I'm an omega."
