you told me that vincent van gogh
swallowed yellow paint because he
thought the colour was happiness
and he wanted that inside of him,
and some days i think i'd like to
swallow your smile coated in summer
sunshine and the smell of daisies
because that afternoon my chest
was full of happiness like birds
trying to break free and i don't
know how else to get that feeling
back, but I read that von gogh's
yellow paint was mostly lead, and
it poisoned him from the inside out,
and i think you'd do the same to me.
