The Kids and the Un-Dead

The Intro

They don't know how it started, but they do want to know why. Why it all started? And how? They had questions that knew they couldn't answer. Especially Dorothy. She doesn't know how she ended up with 5 guys as her best friends. She especially doesn't know how she ended up knowing all of them. All of them were from school. She had never talked to a couple of them, but she feels like she has to talk to them because they're her best friends. It scares her that she is happy with them, even in the apocalypse.
     Dorothy is 12 years old. She lived in the same two-bedroom apartment all her life. She loved adventures but never knew how to have them. Dorothy lived with her mom, uncle and grandparents. She is an only child and does not know how to be a good friend(she tries her best). She's had dreams about anything and wants to express them. Dorothy has never had a true friend or a true crush before. She wants to become likable with anyone she meets. And she loves to take pictures.
     Andrew is 10 years old. He likes to play basketball but not a lot like his brother, Joey. The first time he remembers meeting Dorothy, is a random day at school, he was playing basketball when Dorothy interrupts it by trying to get the ball. She always says that Andrew is supposed to be better than her because she knew she sucked. Andrew has always tried harder since. He is not terrified by the apocalypse at all. He thinks he knows what to expect.
     Adam is also 10 years old. He sometimes plays basketball with Andrew and that's how he knows Dorothy. His older brother Gabriel also plays. Adam also thought that he'll die sooner than everyone else. Like something bad will happen to him and he'll die. He thought that thinking this was normal. He believed that something bad will happen and it'll be normal to him. But now in the apocalypse, he felt scared to die. He now knew he wasn't ready for it. No one was.
Joey is 13 years old and loves to play basketball. He had good grades, good friends, but felt different than other people. People have at least one parent. He lived with his brother, sister, and grandma. He felt like he did things that other people didn't do. So he didn't tell anyone how weird he felt. He had dreams, too, weird ones. Ones that he couldn't understand. Some with familiar things, others not so much.
Gabriel is 13 years old. He thought a lot about his friends and what he would do without them. Like if he had no one to play basketball with. He always thinks of a solution to problems that are not existing. He wants to have more girl friends (female friends). He thinks that if he makes more friends, the more he'll feel better from anything else. Gabriel wants girls to notice him as a good friend or even a best friend. Now that he's in the apocalypse, he doesn't think too much of it. He couldn't make any more friends other than the ones he knew right now.
     Mike is 13 years and feels like he doesn't belong with his group of friends in the apocalypse. The 10 year olds knew Dorothy so then their older brothers got introduced to her. Mike feels left out when he's brought in. The apocalypse scares him, but not enough for him to go crazy about it. He felt petrified of the end of the world. But at the same time he wanted it to continue. He wanted the apocalypse to never end so he can stay friends with the same people. He wanted to own the same things. Mike didn't believe any of this was possible.
All of them are idiots when it comes to taking care of themselves. They make stupid decisions that can change their futures. But they don't care, because they are just kids. They don't know any better.

Hello I'm the narrater who points out what these kids do. When they have a terrible point of view, I step in and do my job. I'll write notes on what they're doing(I'm not a stalker) and say it way better than everyone else. And I will be getting angry when narrating and hope you don't think to much of it. People reading are not supposed know anything about me, other than I'm a narrator. It's my job.
