I woke up to the very disturbing noise of my mom jamming out to Paramore. I dragged my lazy ass out of bed and looked out my window. I saw how beautiful the ocean was. I was so lucky to get to see that everyday. It was crazy different from back out in Alaska.
I went downstairs with my hair thrown up in a bun and pajamas still on. I saw that my mom had been unloading the boxes into our house. I could see that she slowly but surely had been unpacking them. There were so many of them full of such old stuff. It was ridiculous how old this shit was. It was from before I was born. That's pretty old.
Unlike most cool kids, I had an insane lady for a mom. She decided to throw out all our old stuff besides the important things. She then went to the stores for the entire day buying all new things. Everything from furniture to food. It was bonkers of her. Although I liked it.
She came back later that night with some burgers and a butt load of stuff. I couldn't believe she actually let go of our old items. When my dad died I didn't think she'd ever get rid of the majority of our things. But today she surprised me and did.
My mom showed me everything she bought after we ate. She got a white sofa and two black chairs to go with it. A 60 inch flat screen with a white table to sit it on. I must say, she did a really nice job on the whole "interior design" thing. She got a couple wall decorations and a nice lamp to wrap it up. The best part was all the stuff she got for my room. She got me those really adorable lantern lights that stream around your wall. Also, the cutest floral bed spread. Lastly, a really cute flower rug to go in the middle of my room. It was perfect.
My mom had gotten me a present. It was in a gift bag made for any occasion. When I opened it I was thrilled! It was a really nice black and white body purse. I loved it so much. However when I opened the purse I suddenly loved it a million times more. Inside was my very own house key for the new house. A iPhone 5 with a nice case from "Pink". Lastly a wallet, with a 400 dollar visa gift card to go shopping for Florida clothes and school things. I had never felt so special. That was my real birthday present. I was so thankful for my new home and all my new things.
I really did think that was all until my mom asked me to go the garage and see if the panel box was in there. Of course I argued with her saying "duh mom obviously it's in there", but she made me check it out anyways. When I walked in there was a blue scooter. At that point I could barely breathe-Apparently, you could ride a scooter in the bike lanes at age 15, how awesome is that!!- it was gorgeous. My mom told me she thought that since I was joining society I had to have society things. That was for sure fine by me.
It was getting late so I decided to try out my scooter before I actually drove it somewhere. I liked it because it was blue. The sit lifted up and made a storage area like a trunk in a car. The first go round I was scared. I didn't want to mess the scooter or myself up. I went really slow the first 3 times. Then I got comfortable. By the 5th time I was almost a pro. Although, pro enough to go to the mall the next day and get clothes. I parked my scooter in the garage where it was before and went inside to my room. I decided to quickly put my new bed spread on and activate my phone. I set my alarm for 9:30 am and went to bed thinking about how amazing my shopping trip will be.
