A Stormy Night

Sam's P.O.V

I was laying in my bed half asleep, while cuddling my teddy bear. No one knew about my teddy bear called Colbear, it was really embarrassing. I didn't want to tell anyone that I named my teddy after my best friend. It was really bad weather outside, and it wasn't about to get any better. I looked at my clock that said 3 in the morning, I groaned and buried my head into my pillow. I tried to fall asleep, but there was no chance. I got up and decided to get a snack. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to get an apple or something, but when I got there I wasn't alone.

Colby's P.O.V

I saw Sam walking downstairs to probably get a snack or something. "Hi, you awake this late" I asked him. "Yeah, couldn't sleep". "Oh, well you should try counting sheep, works for me, I really don't like math". "Haha, yeah I'll try". "By the way, have you heard about the storm that's coming tonight?". "Yes, but I think it's pretty much already here". "Oh your wrong, it's supposed to get much worse", I said as I looked at him with a serious face. "Okay, well I'll go back to sleep now". "Okay", I said as I watched Sam walk upstairs again. I should probably get to sleep to, I think as I turn off the tv and walk to my room upstairs.

Sam's P.O.V

Colby was right, the storm was getting worse. I hate thunderstorms, their just so loud and scary. Just as that thought ran through my head, a lightning striked and I jumped and hid under my covers. The white light could be seen in the whole room, 3 seconds later I heard the loud thunder from the sky. I found my teddy and hugged him tightly. I tried my best to fall asleep, I even counted sheep like Colby said, but nothing worked. This night was just really exhausting, and I was so tired, but the storm kept me awake by making me jump every 2 seconds. Okay, maybe that's a little dramatic, but it was a lot of thunder. So I decided to make my way to Colby's room.

Colby's P.O.V

Just as I was about to fall asleep, my door slowly creeks open. I saw a blond mop of hair poking in trough the door. It was Sam. I looked at him, and He closes the door quickly. A few minutes later the door opens again, and Sam carefully steps in. "Are you still awake" He asks into the dark room. "Yeah, is something wrong?", I asked looking for an answer in his face, well what I could see of his face in the dark. He doesn't answer and I start to get a little worried, knowing that every time Sam was quiet, something was most likely wrong. Just as I was about to ask again a lightning strikes, and Sam jump in my bed like a scared little kitten. He try's to hide under my covers. "Hey, are you afraid of the thunder", I ask him in the gentlest  voice I could manage. "N-no, of course not" He says with a shaky voice. "Hey, it's okay I'm here, it's not going to hurt you". He sits up at the edge of my bed, He was holding something in his hands. "Is that a teddy bear?". "N-n-no it's not", Sam says as He hides it behind his back. "No, let me see it". "See what?, there's nothing there". "C'mon I saw you hold it". "Fine", He told me as He showed me the cutest teddy bear I had seen, except for my koala of course. I found my koala bear from under my bed and showed it to him. "You have I teddy bear too?", He says with a little shocked voice. "Of course, koala is the one that keeps me safe at night". He chuckles as I said that last sentence. Then another thunder strikes. Sam looked scared and slowly crept a little closer. "Hey, Colby can I ask you something?". "Of course Sam, you can always ask me about anything", I say with a smile. "Can I sleep with you tonight, so I don't have to be alone?". It shocked me a little at first, but soon I relaxed and answered "of course". As soon as I finished my sentence He crawled under my covers, but kept a little bit of distance. And by little bit of distance, I mean He almost fell out of the bed. "You don't need to be shy, I don't want you falling out of the bed", I say with a chuckle. He crawls a little closer, then another lightning strikes followed by another thunder. Sam quickly grabs my arm, and holds thight. "Hey, its soon gonna be over okay?" "Okay". "You should try and go to sleep now, it's probably like 4 in the morning". "Yeah, your right",Sam answered. I slowly start to doze off and fall asleep, Sam never letting go of my hand.

Next morning...

Sam's P.O.V

I woke up to a warm feeling, I never wanted to get up, it was way to cozy. But then I heard some whispers, I think it was about me. "Ohh, look how cute He is", a female voice said and I was starting to wake more up. "Yeah, look at how comfortable He looks all snuggled up with you", I think I could hear Corey speaking. "I totally ship it", I heard Elton say. I still had my eyes closed, starting to remember what happened last night. I was totally all snuggled up with Colby, but He was so warm and comfy, I couldn't bring myself to get up. "Shhh guys he's sleeping, I don't want him to wake up, He had a long night yesterday" Colby said with a little bit of a raspy morning voice. "Yeah we should get out", Devyn said. They all agreed and walked out the door, I could hear Corey screaming Solby is reaaallll, as He walked out the door. Colby gently nudged me, trying to wake me up. "Sam are you awake?", He whispered. But I only answered by burying my head deeper into his chest, feeling his body heat radiating off of him. "I thought so" He said as He hugged me tighter with his arms around my body.
