But you turned your back on me and left.
How does it feel like to be crushed -
By the very person who built you up,
In the first place and made you like this?
Undescribable disappointment and anguish.
You let me see the illusions of our future
Told me beautiful facades of lies,
Made me try to capture those stars for you,
And now I wish you didn’t do that to me.
I will stay by your side if you just asked me to,
This growing lump that I’ve been ignoring,
It’s lodging in my throat and it makes me wonder -
If this is all worth going through after all?
This battlefield where my love is tested,
Determination isn’t the only thing I needed,
Warnings flied over my head but now I know -
To pack my bags and leave when I’m not wanted.
