It's still February as I'm typing this up I swear h
Anyways, who remembers this challenge?? In case anyone forgot or is new, here's a quick summary; there's an hecking good album by this dude named Tim Myers. The album is called The Year and features 12 songs and all them correspond with a month. As a fun challenge, I decided to create a drawing every month based on the song for that particular month and try to make the drawing with the mood of the music. This is the second drawing of the year and I hope I can make it all the way through this year doing this.
On top of drawing something relating to the music, I also pick one or more techniques or styles I'd like to improve on/try out. So in the end, it also lets me experiment and grow as an artist! :D
Well I think that's enough summary for today, onto the piece!
This month's song was called "Smoking Gun". It's a very panicy and mysterious song so I tried to match that in the drawing. Honestly ever since I first heard this song, I always picture someone running through a forest in the chorus part, it just seems to fit lol
sO that's exactly what I did! Bam!

Well, if you can't figure it out, it was mainly about trying to draw lineless drawing and pine trees! Dude I worked on that front pine tree for like 2-3 days h that's definitely what I'm most proud of aaah
But yeah, to put it together I wanted to try and make a lineless flat color background How did you think I did???

And finally a WIP thing
Originally the base colors on the tree branches were supposed to be guidelines for when I shaded it, but then I decided it looked neat on its own and shading would take waaay longer, so I scratched the idea, but you can see what I was able to get done!
