There will be notes at the end that have to do with this book, so please remember to read them at the end of chapters. There won't be one every time, just for important stuff!

It was a peaceful night in Logan and Virgil's home, the time being around three. All was quiet, and everyone in the house was peacefully asleep. That is, until Nova decided it would be the perfect time to wake up and cry.

Both of the parents were startled awake by the sound, taking a moment to realize what was going on. When they did Virgil groaned, falling back into his pillow again. "This is the third time she's woken up. I'm starting to question whether or not any of this is worth it." He half-joked.

Logan sighed, rolling his eyes at his tired and frustrated husband. "Of course it is. Go back to sleep, I'll take care of her."

Virgil let out a relieved sigh, thanking Logan by pulling him into a short kiss, turning over on his side immediately after to go back to sleep. Logan shook his head, drowsily rolling out of bed. He made his way over to the crib on the other side of their bedroom, gently lifting Nova from the bed. He smiled tiredly down at her, unable to feel annoyed despite being woken up so late. Holding her close and whispering comforting things, Logan brought her into the living room so that his husband could get his much needed sleep while he figured out what was wrong.

Logan and Virgil were spending a quiet day at home with their now six month old Nova. Virgil was sprawled across the couch, head resting on his arms next to where Logan sat holding the baby. He was looking up at the two of them, smile on his lips.

Logan's soft voice reading a chapter from his book was the only sound that filled the house. The two had heard that reading to Nova would help her in learning to speak. It was best to do with no distractions, which is why they kept the house otherwise silent.

Every now and again the baby would make noises that didn't mean anything, and Logan would pause in his reading to listen to her. When she finished he would smile at her and respond, encouraging her to try and say more.

At some point while Logan was reading Nova decided to reach up and grab ahold of his nose, effectively cutting him off from what he had been reading. Logan just smiled at her again. "Is there something that you want?" He asked, not expecting her to respond with anything.

"Dada," Nova mumbled, giggling and bringing her other hand up to his face, accidentally slapping him. Logan, entirely shocked, reached up to hold her hand so she couldn't slap him again, unable to say another word. Somehow, despite knowing logically that the child was only making noises and did not understand what they meant, couldn't help but get a little choked up.

"Logan?" Virgil nudged his leg with his arm. His smile had grown much wider at hearing his daughter, and he couldn't help but laugh upon noticing Logan's reaction. "Are you... crying?"

"Shut up," Logan snapped jokingly, letting go of Nova's hand to wipe his eyes. "Of course not. She just... I'm not... No."

Virgil laughed once again at his husbands awful attempt at explaining himself, sitting up so he could pull Logan into a short kiss. "I get it, nerd. I'm happy too."

Logan smiled fondly at him, wiping his eyes once more. Before the two of them could say or do anything else Nova began to cry, unhappy with not getting more attention. Immediately the two turned back to her, shushing her and doing their best to calm her.

Around four months had passed since Nova had made her dad tear up. The family had decided to visit Patton and Roman at their house, something that happened often. Not only did it mean the four of them got to see each other again, but their kids would get to see each other.

The four adults were talking, gathered around on the two couches. Virgil had ended up sitting by himself, Logan, Roman, and Patton on the other one with the three kids sitting on the same couch. Nova was with her dad, Ivy was next to her in Patton's lap, and Amelia sat with Roman.

Roman was answering a question that Amelia had asked when he was cut off, Nova fighting her dad so she would be let down. When he finally set her down she stopped crying, but everyone's attention stayed on her. Nova was looking at Virgil, and it seemed for a moment that she was just going to crawl over to her other dad. Instead the four of them watched in surprise as the girl used Logan's legs to slowly and shakily stand, taking her first few very wobbly steps in the direction of the other couch.

It took a moment for Virgil to realize what was happening, but once he did he opened his arms, ready to jump up and grab her if she started to fall. He couldn't help but smile as she made her way over to him slowly, nearly stumbling over a few times. It was nice to see that his daughters first steps were taken so she could get to him. She finally made her way to where her dad sat, finally wobbling over and falling into his arms.

"You made it!" He beamed at her, Nova smiling back at him. His heart swelled with pride, tears welling up in his eyes just like his husbands had months before. He sat her down gently on his lap, still smiling wide.

The conversation around them soon returned to normal after everyone got over the excitement of what had happened, but Virgil's mind still lingered on his daughters accomplishment. Seeing her taking her first steps to get to him, he knew that this was all worth it. Every sleepless night, every moment of caring for her was worth it.

He couldn't wait for more moments like these.

I just wanna say again that if I get anything wrong please remember I'm 16 and never had a child lol. I've looked up stuff on when babies start to walk and talk but I could still get things incorrect. Just, keep that in mind haha.

Also yes, this book is going to be incredibly fluffy, with some sad angsty stuff at some points(I've already got an idea for an important angsty part that happens later on) so prepare for some sadness haha.

Another question I've got is whether or not Deceit will be in this story and have kids, and well.. I do have some ideas for that, although he won't play any super major part and it will happen later on. It's also a possibility that Thomas will make an appearance at some point, there's just some stuff I need to plan for that first. So, yeah!! I hope you guys will like it if I do add either of them in. I also just hope you're enjoying this story in general haha.

Anyways, that's all I had to say for now. Thanks for reading. Take care of yourselves. 💜💜 Bye!-Bob
