Genesis's P.O.V: (Genesis as @angvish)

another day anotha dolla

I told myself as I yawned and stretched. I looked over the dashboard of my Camaro, wondering if school was even worth it anymore.

"C'mon Gen, a few more months." I said aloud.

I stifled a yawn, bringing the keys to my ignition and finally starting the car, hearing the purr of the engine. As soon as the car started, so did my music, my phone automatically connecting to the Bluetooth system.

I smiled as Trippie Redd blared slightly as I drove slowly out of the driveway. As I was about to turn and head onto the road my mother opened the door and waved at me a goodbye.

I rolled my eyes. "Bye mom." I mouthed to her.

Her smile widened and she turned back into the house as I made my way down the road.

...

Shortly after I found myself at the place I call My Little Hell: Chino Hills. I brought myself to a sudden stop because someone had cut me off in the lot , speeding past me. Before I could yell at them I noticed I couldn't. It was an all black Lamborghini. The one and only LaMelo Ball's.

He smiled at me in his rear view mirror in what I'm guessing was a cheap apology but knowing him, he wasn't really sorry.

Once he'd found a parking space I'd noticed the only other available one would be beside him.

I rolled my eyes once again as I brought my Camaro beside his ostentatious car. Feeling puny and broke, I stepped out of my car.

My mother had a well paying job and supported me as best as she could without a husband, so I'd always been proud of what I'd had, but when LaMelo came around it really effected my self esteem.

He had a tendency to hit on me every chance he got and I hated it- (maybe if he'd been closer to Liangelo's age I'd give him a chance but he was a minor for God's sake) -and I knew today would be no different.

He hurriedly hopped out of his car nearly tripping over himself. He brushed it off with a smile that I could only describe as full of metal, but hey at least he was worried about his appearance enough to have braces.

"Good morning Melo." I grinned impartially back at him.

"What up Gen?" His smile grew. "You know I'm playin' tonight right? You should pull up to the game, I know we'll win." He nodded furiously.

"Uh, sorry Mel, I have practice..." I trailed off, knowing damn well I didn't have practice today.

"Damn that's too bad, I would've made every shot for you, cutie" he grinned.

As we approached the door to the school I shoved my keys in my bag and waited as he opened the door for me.

"Melo that's great that you think that, but don't you think I'm a little too old for you?" I'd asked him this in every way possible and his response was always:

"Of course not Genesis, I'll wait for you forever beautiful."

"Thanks Romeo." I replied today.
