Ryden.
"Why is that kid always eating a huge box of cereal in class? Isn't that like, unhealthy or something?" I whispered to Pete, who didn't seem to be paying attention to anything going on in the lesson. "Does he not eat breakfast? I could buy him breakfast, you know - I mean at home." Pete raised both eyebrows, slurping noisily from his drink. "Can you answer me?"
"It's high school, Ryan." He said simply. "Not everyone has time to eat at home, including me." He reached in his pocket at this comment, pulling out a single chocolate button and devouring it in one bite. "Also why are you even looking at him? Do you have a crush or something? Because that'd be super cute. Popular kid has a crush on the loner - hey, and it's cliché."
"Shut up. I'm allowed to look at a guy without liking him, Pete. You're assuming - again." I rolled my eyes, sneaking a glance at the kid. So maybe I had been staring at him a little too much recently, so what? I just like his hair, that's all, and his personality; make that his face, too. It's not like I can help liking someone, even people like him who have no friends.
"Okay, class is over, don't forget the homework!" The teacher yelled over the mutters of teenagers, who couldn't really care less. I approached the boy with cereal, smiling slightly as he looked at me with a strange expression.
"Why are you always eating cereal?" I asked, chuckling when he gave me an amused look. His expression turned back to bored within a few seconds, and he just looked down at the floor, hands on hips.
"Because teenager." He mumbled, looking up at me shyly as my face broke into a huge smile.
"Well, because teenager I happen to have been admiring you from afar these past few days. I was wondering if I can take you on a date sometime?" I said awkwardly, eyes meeting his as he looked up and grinned, nodding enthusiastically.
"I'd love to, Urie."
