Butterflies.

For the first time in 21 years of life, Aiden, an Alpha male of the Nebular pack, felt butterflies.

The feeling nearly floored him so quickly he was forced to drop his gaze from the beauty in front of him, and take a step back.

She said she loved him. Melina Drake, hardass, the silent but deadly city woman, just admitted that she loved him.

He could feel the blood rushing to his tanned face, and the crippling butterflies only seemed to multiply within him. There were no words to describe how taken aback he was by her statement. Aiden was convinced that he would have been the first one to tell her how he felt; and even then he did not expect her to respond to his confession...and he would have been perfectly content with that.

But she said it. Melina loved him.

"I-I'm sorry Aiden, I -I shouldnt have said that, I-we, I'm sorry.." he heard her insecure grasps at an apology, slice through his occupied thoughts. She must have interpreted his stunned silence for rejection, or unrequited love.

But she was dead wrong.

Within a split second Aiden cupped her flushed face in both of his hands, and pressed his longing lips into hers. He kissed her with all of the passion he had built in his body since the first moment he laid his eyes on her. The heat of her plump lips seeped into his body and wrapped itself around his heart; making its permanent home there. There was no doubt in his mind that he was addicted to Melina. She was his drug and he never wanted to be sober of her love again.

"I need you.." he whispered breathlessly in between their passionate kisses. Melina's short, breathy moans in response begged for more reassurance, needing his comforting words to be spoken.

"I love you...from the first moment I saw you I loved you Melina," Aiden spoke against her lips, gripping her hair. Melina stared into his eyes, in awe. In complete wonder and amazement. His eyes twinkled, they sparkled in absolute adoration of her.

They both indulged in each other's presence for a few more moments before realizing the unspoken, but very prominent heat among them. Melina was the first to speak.

"I guess the rumors are true..." she drawled in a deeply seductive tone of voice, narrowing her eyes at Aiden, who had his body placed in between her outstretched legs.

"Rumors..?" Aiden shot back with a smirk, catching on immediately. He began to run his fingers up and down the sides of her thighs, making her insides very aware of his presence.

"Mmmm-hmm...you..know what they say.... about werewolves don't you?" she continued in short breaths as Aiden began to unbutton her oversized shirt with one hand, while his other hand found her wetness.

Aiden reached the last button of his shirt, but he allowed her plump chest to hold it open for him. He leaned into her ear, and pressed the small of her back towards him, pushing her almost completely off the sink and onto his bare chest.

"We are animals in bed," he whispered with a raspy voice that was filled with the intention of making love to her again. Without waiting for a verbal response Aiden leaned into her neck, and pressed his hot kisses against his mark. Melina moaned deeply, running her fingers up his muscular back. Her feather light touches only burned into Aiden's manhood, and he continued his mouth play down to the center of her chest, soft and bare for him to caress.

Suddenly Aiden's nose twitched.

It was a minuscule change....but it was there.

Aiden recognized the scent already beginning to stir. His entire body froze as if it were washed over with ice.
