"Mom are we there yet?" I said trying to keep my eyes open. We are on the road for some hours now and my butt hurts. Not to mention that I'm hungry af.
"Almost honey, hold on a bit." My mom said, eyes on the road.
"Ugh, fine." I shrugged, I really wanna stand up rn.
"Don't make it such a big deal, in 5 minutes we're there." My mom said.
"I'm not making it a big deal, I just never realized how far Busan actually is from our house." I said sleepily.
She gave me a questioning look and then she looked at the road again.
"Well it's actually only 3 hours away but okay?" My mom said like it's nothing. It literally felt like I've been in this car for eternity.
"You're saying that this was just 3 hours?" I looked at her.
"We're here!" She said smiling.
"Just let me pull over and we're out."
"Finally."

"Okay so this is it from the outside." My mom said looking at the house in front of us. I looked at it from up and down. Wow.
"We're gonna live there?" I asked looking amazed at the enormous house in front of me. I knew my mom was wealthy but I didn't know she was this wealthy.
"It's just the two of us anyway, what are we gonna do in this huge house?"
"Well I guess, you could bring your friends over or something. We can also buy a pet if you want." My mom said. Little does she know I don't have any.
"Uhm, yeah, you're right." I lied.
"Now let's go in, shall we?" My mom said looking at me.
I chuckled.
"We shall." I said and we walked towards the door.
"This honey, is going to be our new life. Let's make sure, we'll make this one better, okay?" My mom said looking at me emotionally.
"Yes mom, you're right." I said and she opened the door.
The first thing I saw is that all of our old furniture from our apartment in Seoul is here but with some new additions. Like a bigger tv. Not to mention the living room is twice as big.
"Mom did you perhaps go in the bank this time?" I said while looking at her.
She chuckled. "Kind of. Your dad's money were transferred on my bank account." She said and her chuckle turned into a frown.
I looked at the ground. "Oh." Was all that I can say.
I saw my mom wiping a tear away before looking at me all smiley. I could tell she faked it.
"Now go and see your room sweetie." She said.
I walked towards her and hugged her. "Dad would be happy and proud. Don't be sad mom." I said while a tear escaped my eye, made its way on my cheek and died on my lips.
"I know honey. I know." She said and we released the hug. "Now seriously go to your new room." She looked at me with teary eyes.
"Okay mom. Be right back." I smiled at her.
I took two steps when I realized that I don't even know where to go. I looked back at my mom.
"Uh, mom where's my room?"
She chuckled.
"Second floor, second room to your left."
I smiled innocently. "Thanks."
