Chapter 25
Ethan and Sophie woke up but they found themselves in the past. Believe it or not,they woke up in the classroom at the school they went to before they came to boarding school. They were in class and they saw their old classmates sitting through a lecture taught by their teacher.They were fourteen again. Sophie was wearing a summer outfit when Ethan's wearing an unzipped sweatshirt,jeans and concert tee. After the bell rang,Ethan and Sophie rushed out the door and Ethan asked,
"What's happening to us?"
"How am I supposed to know?" Sophie snapped back at him. They started to witness another Sophie and Ethan their age and they even saw Drake,Ethan's old best friend. They hid behind the wall and began to watch the same scene as when Ethan first asked her out. Sophie and Ethan (the ones from the future) turned to themselves when Ethan began,
"We loved each other....what happened?"
"I don't know. I just wish that we ever loved each other like we did then." Sophie stated.
"Me too. Why did things have to be so complicated between us?" Ethan asked rhetorically.
"I never wanted them to." Sophie shared.
"Me neither." Ethan responded grabbing Sophie's hand.
"But who says we can't love each other like we did years ago?" Ethan asked looking into her incredible eyes and shy smile. They saw the other Sophie from the past walk by to her locker. The Sophie and Ethan from the future stood back and watched her pack her books and looked down at her Hathor locket. She opened it up and saw the picture of her being crowned in the underworld when she was ten years old then started to form tears in her eyes.
"I love you,Hathor." Sophie whispered.
"Oh yeah,I remember that." Sophie stated.
"What's so special about that locket?" Ethan asks viewing the familiar tears on Sophie when she answered,
"That crowning moment was the only time I felt special. Hathor said if I kiss the heart locket,good things will happen to me." Sophie answered
"Oh..." Ethan sounded.
"Uh,I gotta go." Sophie ended uncomfortably beginning to walk away.
