Breaking the Bad News

-Jay has joined the chat conversation 

Kimmie: Bout time, could you of slept any longer?

Jay: Don't make me come over to your house with the pillows again.

Kimmie: Oooh I'm so afraid.. :I

Ji su: The sarcasm strikes again.

Kimmie: Haha!

Jay: Yeah whatever..

Kimmie: Hey guys guess what

Ji su: What?

Jay: What?

Kimmie: Mina, is it okay if I tell?

Me: Sure.

Kimmie: Alright, so Mina got into the student exchange program and is going to a school in America.

Ji su: Omg Really!?

Jay: Wow.

Me: Yeah... I'm going to miss you guys.

Kimmie: And by that she means me.. I know she'll miss me more than you guys.

Jay: -_-

Ji su: Really Kimmie? Really?

Kimmie: Mhmm, and I already know so :)

Me: I'll miss you guys all the same.. smh

Jay: HA!

Kimmie: Shut up Jay!

Jay: Make me!

Ji su: And here we go again...

Me: I'm gonna go eat breakfast..

Ji su: Same

I turned off my phone and went downstairs. When I got to the kitchen, my mom was cooking breakfast and my dad was working on one of his little robots on the table.

"Morning mom, morning dad." I said.

"Morning." They both said. 

I sat at a chair next to my dad at the table, watching him work on his robot. He smiled a little when he saw my interest fixed onto his robot.

"That looks cool." I said.

"Thank you, I've been working on it for a month." Dad said.

"Cool." I said.

"And how's your robot?" He asked.

"Good, I've been coding some movement commands for it." I said.

"Nice." He said.

Mom came over to me and kissed me on my forehead after she sat my plate down on the table.

"I'm gonna miss it here." I said as I started to eat.

"We're gonna miss you too." Mom said.

"Yeah, who's gonna fix my computer now that you'll be gone?" Dad asked as I laughed and slightly elbowed him.

After I finished eating breakfast, the doorbell rang. After my mom took my plate, I walked to the door and opened it. Kimmie was standing there and gave me a bone crushing hug as soon as the door was all the way opened.

"Ow Kimmie, you're gonna break my ribs." I said as she finally let go.

"That's for leaving me." She said and I started to slightly laugh.

"Hey, it wasn't my choice." I said as I moved out of the way so Kimmie can walk inside.

"I wish I could go with you though.." She said as I closed the front door.
