Chapter 9 - Promise?

"Oh, it happens ehehehe, anyway can you get the bowl down from the shelf?"

"Oh, sure." i reach for the bowl on top of the upper shelf and handed it to Reimako.

"Thanks, Mina."

"I'm done chopping the onions and the garlic, what should i do next, Reimako?"

"Thanks, next, could you boil some water on the pot."

"My pleasure." i replied gladly.

A few minutes later.

"The water is boiling Rei."

"Oh! Really?Let me see."

As Reimako goes to check the pot, just then...

She accidentally knocks the pot with her arms, and it teeters on the edge of the hob.

"Whoa, Rei! Watch out!"

Just before the boiling hot water splashes, on Rei, i grab her and pull her into my arms.

Yomiko and Miyoko jump out of the way, just managing to avoid the boiling water.

"Kyah!" Yomiko squealed.

"What happened!?" asked Miyoko.

"I-It's alright! The pot just got knocked off..."

"S-Sorry i knocked it over..." said Rei apologetically.

"N-no, don't worry about it.You didn't get burned did you?"

"N-no..."

"Oh' thank Odin, that's a relief..."

I breathe a sigh of relief.

"Uhm..Thank you."

"Don't mention it, i'm just glad you're okay."

Just then, Yomiko gazing at me sharply.

"How long are you planning on staying like that for, Mina?!"

"Huh?..."

Suddenly i realize i'm still holding Reimako in my arms.

"Ah! S-Sorry!"

"Uh-Oh!...No.I"

As i hurriedly let go and move away from her, just then...

I accidentally touch her chest.

"Kyah!!"

Rei frantically moves away from me.

"Hey, Mina!" bawl Miyoko.

"Wh-Where do you think you're putting your hands!" roar Yomiko.

"I didn't mean it..."

As i look timidly down...

I just noticed my arms have been splashed by the boiling hot water.

(Oh! No wonder my arms are numb.)

I hurriedly concealed it as i try to apologize for accidentally touching Reimako's chest.

"S-Sorry...Reimako..."

Her face turns redder than i've seen it before.

(I can't believe i've done it again...)

(But is it my fault? It's big and super soft and squishable, god! shut up me!)

Just then...

"You perverted monster!!"

Ones again Yomiko's eyes is full of murderous rage, she dashes towards me rising her arms as if she's about to clobber me.
