of our own stupidity?
Of love, and hate,
and the pain they bring?
Is it so wrong to want to be wild?
To run with the recklessness
of an innocent child?
To be free from ill thoughts,
those thoughts being so vile?
Is it so wrong
to say what I think?
To be able to hope
that you'll know what I mean?
To find that bright star
that remains yet unseen?
And is it so wrong
to learn of the truth?
While still we are young,
yet in the prime of our youth?
To know I'll be fine,
standing here next to you?
