calum sat closer to me than he had before.

 

instead of saying “hello” or “how are you?”, he jumped right into conversation.

 

“why do you sit here?”

 

his voice was quiet and delicate,

“things happen, calum.” was the answer i had given him.

 

“oh yes, i have experience with things.”

 

i wondered if he could possibly know what i was trying to say,

 

and if he actually did have experience with these things.

 

i dismissed my thought,

 

he couldn’t possibly know.

 

and in return, i asked him,

 

“why are you here?”

 

he replied by setting the perks of being a wallflower on my lap,
