Zeus, Posidon, Hera, Hades, Hestia, Apollo, Atlas, etc. these are all young gods, only born in the past millennia. I will tell you a story forgotten to time, about a time before these Gods you worship. I will tell you about the Old Gods and their names. I will make offerings of frankincense and gold dust to the four winds to curry her favour and blessing to aid me in my telling. For the wind is older than time and holds her secrets close, she alone knows this tale as I do. Now listen to my telling.
Since before the dawn of time the oceans were ruled by a Goddess. The Goddess was known for her strength and great beauty. She didn't go to the councils of the old gods, satisfied with caring for the seas and her fisher folk, not interested in the Gods gossip and mischief. Then one day the Goddess came upon two young Gods fishing in her seas. Making one her chosen, she changed the fate of the seas and history as we know it. This isn't their story; though, we will learn it in the course of our telling. Rather, this is the story of her daughter.
