Chapter One---The New Guy

"JUPITER LYNN! GET DOWN HERE NOW OR YOU'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL AGAIN!" my mom, Everly screamed at me. "JUST CHILL MOTHER!" I yelled back. She was always getting on my nerves. She was always yelling at me to hurry when she is the only reason we are ever late. She always has to stop by her boyfriend's house to say good morning and give him his coffee. Like seriously. He is my gym teacher. Yeah, all the girls thought he was so cute at the beginning of the year, but now that he's with my mom all of the girls literally stay away from him. So weird right? I mean he looks like that Paul Rudd guy from 'Ant Man'. Not that cute. But back to the point. It's my senior year. I'm 18 and I am the most popular girl in my school. Did I mention I'm from Germany. I was born and raised there but I moved to Arizona with my family when I was a few years old. But totally not the point of this. So it's already the second semester and someone is just starting here today. I was so surprised when the principal, Mr. Melman, announced it before Christmas. Like really? Why transfer so late in the year? There's the beginning and then next year.

------Lunch Time------

So I guess the new kid is like totally hot. He is only in like all of my classes, but today he has been in the office all day getting lectures and tour guides. Ugh. Gotta love the first day at a new school, (note my sarcasm).  Well let's see what's for lunch. Yum... my favorite. BLTs. Better go say hi to my besties, Alayna and Isabelle. "Hi ladies," I exclaimed. "Hi..." Alayna said sadly. "HEY!!!!" Isabelle nearly shouted. "Alayna? What's wrong sweetie?" I asked. "My parents are separating. Also my favorite grandpa died last night." Alayna said sadly. "OH NO! What can I do to help?" "Nothing. I just need to get through the funeral today." "No I will do something. I will go with you to the funeral then we can do your favorite things!" "Really? You'd do that for me?" "Obviously, I for one am the bestest friend a girl could ask for." "Um. Sorry to burst your talk bubble but uh, the new guy is totally staring at you Jupiter," Isabelle interrupted. I turned around and surely enough a hot, tall, guy that was totally staring right at me. The minute he realized I was looking he blushed and looked away. He then walked over to the table of jocks. Of course. The place every new kid goes to get attention. But surprisingly they were super stoked to meet him. They let him sit with them during lunch that day.

------After School------

Right after school I had seen the new kid. Still not knowing his name, I walked up to him and asked what his name was. Unsurprisingly, when he turned around he was on the phone. He gave me the 'wait a second' finger. Like really? UGH! Boys. Once he hung up he said, "What do you want?" I asked, "I just wanted to know your name since you're already the popular guy and you just moved here." "Names Ambrose. Ambrose Walker. What does a pretty girl like you have for a name?" "My name is Jupiter. Jupiter Brown." "Jupiter like the planet?" "Yeah. My family is really into astrology and Greek mythology. So I got stuck with Jupiter. My sister's name was going to be Venus." "What do you mean was?" "It's a long story." Car horn beeps. Alayna and her mom are waiting for me. "Uh. I'm sorry I have to go my friends are waiting for me." "That's okay. I just want to hear that story sometime okay?" "Okay." As I was walking away Ambrose slipped a piece of paper in my hand. I opened it. His phone number. When I turned around to thank him he had already walked away.
