I was going to be discharged in about 15 minutes ‘how are we going to get home’ Alex asked me as i came back with better clothing on. ‘ummm........... i didn’t think of that’ i said back, by this time all of the boys came into the room. ‘we could give you a lift home if you want’ Nathan said with a stalker smile playing on his lips. ‘ok if that ok with your parents’ they all looked around at each other and laughed ‘we were just asking each other if we thought you knew who we are’ jay said between giggles ‘of course we know who you are’ i exclaimed i knew their names
‘your max’ i pointed at max.
‘and your jay’ Alex pointed at jay.
‘and your Siva’ i pointed to Siva.
‘and your tom’ Alex pointed to tom
‘and your........ well ummm....... you will have to remind me again’ i said pointing to Nathan a slight smile playing on my lips and his ‘the fittest boy on your contacts list’ he said through his snigger's. ‘see we know exactly who you are’ i said smartly.
‘no, no, no we are in a ba-’ Nathan was saying as my phone went off. I knew that ring tone, it was my ex i answered bluntly
‘What The Fudge Do You Want You Good For Nothing Fu-’ he cut me off ‘i wanted to ask if you were ok, i heard you were in hospital’ the anger grew in me, why did he want to know now i mean we broke up about 1 and a bit weeks ago because it was our 6 month anniversary and we had discussed that we would get a card for each other but as per usual he forgot so i got him a card but he did nothing then the day after he text me and dumped me, i couldn’t listen to him anymore and i let my anger get the best of me ‘WHY Do You Even Think I Would Tell YOU, All You Ever Do Is Forget Things And Ask Me To Tell You Again Then You Change Every Conversation Onto Yourself Or Laugh At Me’ i yelled down the phone. In the background i heard Mariah one of my best friends voice ‘Oii i thought we could do another weekend just the two of us at that fancy hotel like we did a couple of months back I’m thinking it could be as a anniversary present to us for lasting 4 months behind Abby's back’ i could feel the tears flowing steady down my cheeks now and Alex came over and put the phone on speaker for the whole room of 7 people to hear, ‘i cant believe she didn’t notice that you were cheating for four months what a retard i still can’t believe that she is one of my best friends and didn’t notice me changing so that i was always able to see you and stuff like that!’ i couldn’t listen any more so i just said ‘great best friend she is, i hope you rot in hell!’ my voice broke at the end just before i hung up, i couldn’t help but sob.
I felt someone put there warm arms round me and they let me sob into there shoulder ‘you are way too good for someone like that’ Nathan whispered into my ear, i smiled when he said this. Alex was my smartest best friend and the most trusted girl best friend, she had installed a call recorder onto my phone so she listened to the call i had just had and she had teary eyes. ‘Abby come for a walk with me for a couple of minutes’ she quickly spoke to the boys and gave Nathan my phone telling him how to use the call recorder and then they started listening to the call.
Alex walked towards me and she put her arm over my shoulders and pulled me into a hug as we slowly walked ‘you know i never liked him don’t you, we always used to argue, do you remember that fight we had on kik the day before you went to Germany and how hard we laughed when he tried to beat me at my own game’ Alex knew how funny i found that argument and she was trying to make me feel better and it worked, she was to good of a friend to me so i told her something i thought she would smile at ‘i think jay likes you in a likelike way’ she went bright red in embarrassment ‘and by the looks of things you likelike him back’ i said nudging her, i honestly thought it was sweet how they liked each other but wouldn’t make a move yet. ‘oh yeah are we playing this game now?’ she asked with her evil face ‘so how is Nathan, i saw what his caller ID is on your phone!’ she laughed and i joined in ‘that’s not fair, he wrote that!’ i exclaimed, chuckeling to myself ‘but i must admit, you caught me in the act, and yes i know what your thinking, and yes i do like him but as a FRIEND at the moment’ i said ‘a very good friend’ i mumbled under my breathe.
‘hey’ they all said as we walked back into the room, Nathan came up to me and gave me a big hug. ‘he is not worth those tears, he should be sorry he lost someone as amazing as you’ he whispered into my ear. As he let me go he put my phone into my pocket and said that he had put the other boys numbers onto there so that if i ever needed someone and he didn’t answer i could call one of them.
I was told i could leave now and we all walked out the hospital to be greeted by thousands of girls screaming. What The Cucumbers?
