I awoke to the shrill of my annoying alarm clock waking me up for the day of work. Rolling over I slammed the snooze button and I groaned as I got up slowly. My husband rolled over to me and looked at me that was of exhaustation but it also had love. I leaned in to him and kissed him softly he tried to deepen the kiss but I wasn't falling for it since he didn't want me to go to work today. I pulled away and got out of our bed and walked downstairs to our kitchen to make some coffee to wake me up. Walking around the kitchen to get cereal for my kid made so he cant make a mess for me to clean up afterwards. "Benjamin James! Get up!!!" I yelled at my 7th grader to get his butt up so his teacher won't yell at him for being late.

I grabbed me a cup of coffee and walked out of the kitchen as Ben walked in to eat. I walked into my room to get dressed for the meeting today with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to discuss the technology industry and its growth with consumers. Grabbing me a plain pencil skirt and a blouse with a jacket along with pumps. After getting in the outfit and getting a cat call from my husband I let out a small laugh. Downing the rest of my coffee I brushed my hair and teeth then I put my hair into a military bun from the days of being a Naval Flight Officer.

Walking out of the bathroom and looked at my husband who was passed out again I walked over. Giving him a kiss on the cheek I told him I loved him then walked to the kitchen where my briefcase was located along with my phone. Looking at Ben in his private school uniform all snazzy and professional looking made me smile at the fact he could be a successful person in business or wherever he wanted to go in. "Ready?" I asked him and he nodded his head and followed me out of the door it wasn't daylight out but I had to be early because New York traffic was atrocious!

"BYE KYLE!!!" I yelled out at my husband and closed my door then locked it. Ben got into the Pickup I've gotten when I had saved enough to buy a new car. Getting in I drove towards the city the sun had began to rise which was very beautiful with the skyline and all. "I never get used to the view Ben. You know that?" I asked him and he shook his head of brunette hair both me and my husband were blonde people liked joke that he had a different dad but it wasn't true.

"Mom. Why do you have to pay so much to have me to go to school? I hate it being among the elite and snotty nosed losers that mommy and daddy get everything they wanted." Ben plead but I let out a laugh then replied with the same ole response "Because I want the best education I can get for you. If it means me spending as much as a house to have it then I will." He grunted then rolled his eyes at me. "I don't want you have to work hard to go to college. For me I had to go into the Navy as a Seamen to get my education which meant 6 hard years as a mechanic. But I eventually got commisioned as a Ensign and a fighter pilot for the next 10 years which is the best thing I had ever done."

I didn't want my son go through the things I had to so I can go to college. Even though my time as a mechanic and aviator was a good thing for me but I want him to go through it as an officer not enlisted. "Mom what if I want to go into the Marines? Maybe I dont want to go to college at all." He whined and I growled at him. I don't get a long with Marines because of a bad experiance I had that put a sour taste in my mouth. "You will not go into the Marines." He put his hands in surrender because he didn't want to fight with me about it because I would win always.

Pulling into the City the traffic started to pack up and I pulled into Ben's school to drop him off. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and told him to have fun and the fact I love him. He shook it off and walked into the school. I pulled into the streets and started to head towards Lower Manhatten to work in the World Trade Center. After 30 minutes I pulled into the parking garage to park my truck for protection.

Locking my truck I took the elevator to the ground floor of Tower 1 then got out of Tower 1 then I went to Tower 2. I checked in with the security company and rode an elevator to the 91st floor to my cubicle. Many people thought I was crazy especially when I told them I used to be a Naval Aviator and they wander why I am in a cubicle at a desk not in the skies flying.
