I saw him today,
But only by a glance.
I wasn't even to say "hey",
Even if I was given the chance.

He was in his car,
As I was in mine,
He was so far,
Even though he drove behind.

I don't think he noticed,
That I was the one ahead,
If only he would have focused,
And then maybe he would have been lead.

I haven't seen him in almost two years,
But I still hold on to something we shared,
I just hope it doesn't turn into fears,
And where I am always so scared.

I think of him a lot lately,
Could this be a sigh?
I don't know frankly,
I'm scared of just another lie.

How can you know you still love somebody you haven't seen in years,
There has to be a way,
Even if you're scared of your fears,
I know I will have to face him someday.
