Adventure Can Become a Reality (Hisoka X Reader)

Chapter 1: Where am I?

"Nnng," I murmur as my vision focuses on a pair of brown orbs peering down at me, "Where am I?" 

"You're awake!" I stare continuously at the brown orbs. "I've seen these eyes before..."

"Gon, please give this girl some space. She has just woken up," another familiar voice asserts.

"Oh, sorry!"

" Gon...GON FREECSS??" I immediately sit upright and look around the foreign room. We seem to be moving... I'm surrounded by none other than Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. "Is this real?" I look down at my hands, noting any differences from when I last saw them. Everything feels like real life. I can hear the sounds of the waves, smell the salt, feel the rocking of the boat, yet this is impossible. I realize the group is staring at me. " Say something. They're going to think you're weird."

"Hello."

"Great job smart ass, that's definitely providing a lot of information!"

"My name is (Y/N), and well...yeah," I mutter out. I don't know if this is a dream or not. Should I provide them with more information or just leave it that?

"Nice to meet you (Y/N)! My name is Gon Freecss!"

"I know." I cringe at the words as they slip out of my mouth.

"Great! That didn't sound creepy at all!"

Leorio shoves Gon back, in order to get in my face, "How do you know his name, missy?"

"Oh shit! What do I say? Should I tell them that they are fictional characters or is that breaking like some moral rule or something? 'You are all characters in a cartoon I watch!' I would sound crazy!  But then again...this is probably just a dream...Hell, I don't care, I'm going to treat this like reality."

"Relax Leorio, she knows his name because I called him by it earlier," Kurapika interjects.

" Yep, that's it!" I agree quickly. Leorio moves back a little, "My name is Leorio."

"And my name is Kurapika," he says with a smile, offering his hand. I shake it firmly. 

"To answer your question from earlier, you are on a ship heading towards Zaban City for the Hunter Exam."

"So this is where my dream has taken me. WAIT! I'm going to have to take the Hunter Exam? But I'm so out of shape! I can't run for that long! Even if I do get past the first phase, I don't know how to fight!"  I realized that I hadn't said anything in awhile, and I was still in my pajamas. There was a strange lump in my pocket that I hadn't noticed before either. I stood up and looked around frantically." I need to think alone somewhere, away from the group."

"Um, is there a bathroom around here?"

"Yeah, it's over there." Kurapika points behind me.

I rush to the bathroom and lock the door behind me. "Why does this dream feel so real? I've never had a dream like this before...Am I that obsessed with this show that I am having a hallucination or something? Or is this maybe real?" I shake my head, trying to snap out of it, "This is a dream, (Y/N). It's not real." I remember the strange object that was in my pocket and whip it out. It resembles a phone and I am greeted with a message.
