Singing in the Rain

Poem #1 - Now and Forever

Friends are there to comfort you when you're sad

They're someone you can afford when you're feeling bad

Though no price is stuck on their head

They're thicker than lead and enough has been said

 Through thick and thin, they discard the rest

To see you through and do your best

Don't let anyone say you can't win the race

They're just insecure and need elbow space

~

Time to time, you find out more

Each time you do, you're earning score

But I warn you now don't let go of them

Cause this is the present and time won't bend

~

I'll tell you something, I once had many friends

When something went wrong, I was at a dead end

They cried fake tears and told them I was sorry

But little did I know, I was a burden they no longer carried

~

So when that happens, just look forwards

Forget the hatred and just keep strong 

Choose the right kind that have a good heart

In the end, you'll realize it was a great start
