As I walk in my room I can feel something. I feel a heaviness come over me, as I stumble my way through all my wrinkled clothes and books, that never got picked up, to get to my bed.

"I can't do this anymore!" I cry as I reach for the kitchen knife with the sharp, uneven edges, that I keep under my pillow.

Right as I'm about to put the knife to my neck my phone starts to vibrate. I look at the caller ID, I see its my best friend Jeremy. At least he's there for me when I need him.

I answer, my voice cracking as I speak, "Hey Jeremy, what are you calling me for?"

"Hey Blaze," he said, sounding cheerful as always, "I just wanted to see if everything is ok." He said.

"Ya....uhh ya, everything's fine." I say really fighting back tears, my voice beginning too crack again.

"Blaze don't lie to me!" He demanded, in the stern voice he always uses whenever I'm lying.

'Damn him! How can he always tell when I'm lying?' I thought to myself.

"Ok," I sigh, "I'll tell you. When I got home from school my parents were fighting again, over Stacey, and I told them I was failing the eighth grade all my dad said was, no daughter of mine is gonna fail eighth grade. And he said it sarcastically to, he knows that I hate it when he does that." I finish.

"Don't worry, I'm sure he was just kidding with you." Jeremy says hopefully.

"Ya whatever." I say as I hang up the phone.
