Hi there! thurr! lol. So ano na naman po ang pumasok sa isip ni Lubbie at nagtatype na naman siya dito ng kung-ano ano.

Well hindi po ito kalokohan kundi isang tutorial or rant? kahit ano pwede naman. Haha. Minsan tinatamad na ako magbasa ng isang story sa una pa lang, unang sentence... eerrrr. iningles mo pa, wrong grammar naman! Sumasakit ang ulo ko. sana tinagalog mo na lang kung medyo alangan ka sa english. Pero kung pinagmamalaki mong magaling ka sa english, pwes hindi ko na alam kung nagtuturo ba ng tama ang mga guro mo sa english o sadyang nagbago lang ang english grammar natin ngayon. Sorry kasi stick ako sa makalumang paraan dahil yun ang kinalakihan ko.

Minsan sinabi sa amin ng teacher namin na kung ano ang magandang pakinggan sa tenga, yun ang tama. Pero hindi pala, Hindi lahat. May mga grammar na mapapa "err. ano yon? Tama ba 'yon?" at maiiwan kang tulala sa kawalan dahil hindi mo alam kung tama pa bang sundin ang turo ng guro mo dati o susundin mo kung ano yung mga nakakairitang sentences sa ulo mo.

Simulan natin sa salitang "Prologue", kagaya ng isa sa mga posts ko, hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit pinagpipillitan ang Prouloge, Prolouge, Proulog. Ay tae. kung ano mang spelling nyo dun, pero ang tama po diyan ay "PROLOGUE". Ganun na rin ang sa Epilogue. Okay?

Isa pa, common mistake, ang pinagkaiba ng breath sa breathe.Common mistake yan dahil akala ng iba ay ang breathe ay ang pinalalim na word sa breath. AY TANGINA PO! O akala nila, british-english yon katulad ng "favourite" sa "favorite" or "color" sa "colour" pwes! Nagkakamali kayo!

*Breath

The word breath is a noun.  It denotes the air that is either inhaled or exhaled during breathing.  Colloquially, it can also mean a short pause (e.g., Take a breath and try again.) Breath rhymes with death.

Examples: 

Paul pinched his nose, took a breath and jumped off the boat.

He would fight until his last breath.

The word breathe is a verb.  It rhymes with seethe. It has the following closely related meanings:

1. To inhale and expel air from the lungs.

 Is she breathing?

(Note: Breathe drops the e when ing is added.)

Virtually all fish breathe through gills.

(Gills are a fish's lungs.)

2. To allow gas or moisture to pass through.

The new synthetic material can breathe to prevent moisture building up against the

skin.

3. To impart (often used figuratively).

  He breathed new life into the project.

  He breathed a sigh of relief.

So iba po ang "I can't breathe." sa "I can't breath."

Kasi noun po ang breath, at verb ang breathe. so "I can't breathe" ang tama kasi verb ang breathe which is an action word not "I can't breath" na noun.

Correct: I can't breathe.

Wrong: I can't breath.

Another thing is "Bad breath" and "Bad Breathe"

Correct: Bad breath

Wrong: Bad breathe

Kasi ang breath ay noun, and ang bad ay isang adjective. so dapat bad breath hindi bad breathe.

Magiging adjective naman ng breathe ang bad kung lalagyan mo ito ng -ing, like "Bad breathing".  (read as bad breething) pero maiiba meaning non kasi parang lumalabas na hindi mabaho ang hininga nya, it pertains to masama na ang paghinga nya or nanganganib na ang buhay nya.

kailangan ko pa bang idiscuss pati ang SVA? parang hindi kayo nag-aral ah? balikan nyo ang mga dati nyong lectures at mapapansin nyo kung tumutugma ba yung tenses ng verb na ginagamit nyo. Lalo na yung past tense na gagawin mo pang present. depende na lang kung gagamit ka ng time scheme.

After ng isang sentence, kung past ang ginamit na verb, dapat yung mga kasunod na sentence ay past tense din, para tumugma. RULE YAN! PANES KAYO DYAN!

Isa pang common mistake ay ang paggamit ng Your & You're, pati His & He's, Their & they're.

Ang Your, His at Their ay mga possessive pronouns, tapos ang You're, He's at They're ay contractions or what do you call, combination of two words (you+are=you're, He+is= He's , They+are=they're)

eg.

Correct: Your paper was inside the bag.

Wrong: You're paper was inside the bag.

Correct: His ballpen is lost.

Wrong: He's ballpen is lost.

Correct: They're my friends.

Wrong: Their my friends.

PS: it is not necessary to put 'had, has, had been' in your sentences because, it's use depends on the time frame of the events. the simplier the better. ;D
