Tom was asleep on the cold floor in his new room, he moved a week ago so he didn't have a bed or any furniture, all he had was Susan his guitar, Tomme-bear and a few posters of his favorite band. It was a Monday morning so he had to go to school, his alarm rang louder than usual. He woke up with a gasp, his heart racing from being startled by the loud noise. Tom huffed as he slammed his alarm off, his breathing slowly settled after a few minutes of laying down in silence.

As he got up the blood rushed to his head, his head was pounding. He got off the floor stumbling to get his bag and clothes, with a dizzy vision he put on his blue hoodie and walked downstairs with his bag on his back hanging off one shoulder. Tom made it to the kitchen where his mother was making breakfast,
"Good morning."

his mother spoke quietly, trying not to wake up his father that was passed out on the couch.

"Morning mom."

Tom mumbled glancing at his mother then at his father.

"Ready for school, dear?"

His mother put on a smile, Tom shook his head and sat down at his plate taking off his bag and hanging it on the chair.

"I have a headache."

His mother put omelette on his plate glancing at him, looking concerned.

"You didn't stay up late again, did you?"

Tom shook his head.

"Passed out the moment I lay down."

Tom's mother leaned over and kissed his forehead putting some bacon on his plate.

"I'll give you some medicine once you finish your breakfast."

Tom nodded and ate as he listened to the bacon sizzle and crack, he wasn't that hungry so he picked on his food eating half of the omelette and a bit of bacon.

"Can I have the medicine now?" he said getting up and putting on his bag, his mom nodded and opened a cabinet full of medicine. She grabbed a box of panadol and gave it to him.

"Take two, ask before taking them." he said not looking at him.

Tom nodded and pushed out two pills, he put the box in his bag, his mom handed him a glass of water and started to wash the dishes. Tom swallowed the pills and washed them down with a bit of water, he sighed and walked out of the house waving to his mom.

As he walked down the street he heard two familiar voices from behind, Tom turned around and smiled

"Hey Edd, hey Matt." Edd and Matt came running to Tom.

Edd hugged Tom and Matt did the same,

"We're so happy you finally moved in!" Edd exclaimed smiling brightly.

"Yeah! now you can see my beautiful face everyday!" Matt said raising his voice.

Tom slightly laughed and nodded.

"Im glad aswell."

There was a silence, Tom hoped that one of them would break the silence. He was very awkward. The silence did break eventually but not by what he thought, a red race car zoomed pass them with the windows down and the music blasting, you could hear the music even after the car drove far away.

"Can they get any louder." Tom said sarcastically.

"Hey Tom don't let something like that ruin your day!" Edd said holding Tom's arm and running to school, Matt ran after them stumbling.

"W-wait for me!"
