My alarm goes off once again for school. Normally I'm not so excited for school because, let's be honest, who would go to school everyday excluding Sunday. It's not that I'm lazy it's just that I kinda find it unnecessary for some weird reason. I don't know why but I just think that. But today is different. It feels different.

Is it because I'm walking with Rantaro instead of my friends? I don't know. Last night was pretty fun. Rantaro and I had fun. He's gonna walk with me to school. I should get ready.

I hoped out of bed and got ready to shower.

Once I got out, I wrapped a towel around my body and went to my drawer. I heard my phone go off. Someone was calling me. I looked at the caller ID and it said Rantaro. I quickly pick up so I won't miss it.

"Hello?"

"Morning (Y/N)! Do your still want to walk with me to school?"

"Oh yeah! You meet me outside my house. Just text me when your here."

"Ok! I'm still getting ready."

"Rantaro! Who are you talking to?" I heard a woman in the background.

"A friend! I'll see you later (Y/N)."

"Oh ok. See ya."

I hung up and tossed my phone on my bed. That woman sounded like his mom I guess.

A friend.

It kept playing in my head like a record. Why is my heart beating so fast? Is it because he called me a friend? No. We aren't even dating! He has every right to call me a friend. But Why do I feel so sad about it for some reason?

I'm overthinking it. I have to get ready.

I went to my drawer and put my undergarments on then I went to my closet to change.

I changed into a green lace up top like dress and black spandex shorts underneath. I put on my black doctor martians on. I brushed my hair and grabbed my phone, bag, keys, and headphone.

I checked my phone to see if Rantaro texted me but nothing was there. Maybe he's still getting ready. I decided to go outside and wait for him.

I shut the door behind me and I saw Rantaro walking to my house and he was on his phone.

"Morning Rantaro!"

He looks up to see me outside.

"Oh, good morning (Y/N). You ready to go?"

"Yep!" I said with a smile on my face.

I feel like a awkward fool. I'm actually happy to be in Rantaro's presences right now.

"I know I keep saying this but I really had fun yesterday. I honestly couldn't stop smiling for a while."

"Yeah Same here. I really had fun. Even when we were texting."

"Haha yeah. Are we still hang out again after school?"

"Yeah definitely."

"That's great!"

There was a awkward silence filling the air after that. I couldn't think of a topic to bring up until...

"So you know that I was really telling you the true last night."

"H-huh?!" I stuttered.

"About your beauty."

I stopped walking all of the sudden in shock. My eyes widen.
