Kyrios heard the creaking as the weight of his body relaxed into his office chair. For such a young mind, his burdens were heavy with the responsibility of running his father's institute. But nevertheless Kyrios believed in his cause, so he urged himself to shuffle trough the paperwork piled on his mahogany desk.
It was only two minutes into work when one of his higher ranking security personnel interrupted him.
"The new batch are in, Sir." The code was quick and was easy enough to understand in case the facility was raided.
"Good, good... have the washing machines finished their rinse cycles yet, Stratos?" Kyrios asked the guard. Stratos saluted and gave a slight nod to ensure that everything was in order. He stood and walked over to the guard and gave him a friendly pat on the shoulder.
This was his sign of approval.
Kyrios was about to dismiss Stratos as another, much lower guard stumbled into the room.
"Gather yourself soldier!" Stratos commanded. The stumbling mess did as such. "What is the reason for your hurry?"
Slightly out of breath the soldier calmly but sternly spoke his troubled mind.
"We have a code red, sir..."
That was all Kyrios needed to hear to storm over to his desk and press the red button that read Emergency.
He looked up at the other two men in the room and yelled.
"Don't just stand there! Neutralise it!" The guards ran out the door in milliseconds as Kyrios reached under his desk for a devise that would ensure all his patients would be taken care of.
He pulled out his own personalised pryč.
"Goodbye humanity, Derek." Kyrios muttered under his breath before walked out to neutralise the threat himself.
