Joe's POV
This day will be just like any other day. I wake up, put on some makeup, and I'm out the door.
I sit in the house all day. Either that or im simply by myself. Having friends has never really been my thing. I have always been a loner. Especially since people know that I'm an orphan. I really don't understand why the situation I'm in could hurt my credibility of being a good person. It's not my fault my parents didn't want me. I'm human. Just like everybody else.
Deciding that I don't want to stay in the house, I make it clear to my orphan-mom that I will be out now, and back home later.
-- At the park. --
I've been sitting on the bench, reading and listening to music when it starts to pour down raining. Welcome to where I stay. Its sunny one day, the next you have to move out of your house because of an unwanted hurricane. Hehe. How pleasant. I call my mother and let her know that I'm coming home sooner than planned.
----- Home -----
As soon as I step in the door I kid you not. I feel so much better. I'm still wet and slimy from the cold stabbing rain. But its still warm inside.
"Mom, i'm HOME!"
She comes to the door with a pot and dish rag in her hand. "Okay sweetie. You don't have to yell."
"I wasn't." I roll my eyes and go to my room. The usual mother-daughter routine. Argue, make-up, fuss and fight.
How fun. I decide to take a hot shower and jump right in the bed. Law and Order SVU it is.
Mmm.. How I love me some Elliot.

{Next Day.}
I decide again that I'm going to the park. Even though its raining still, I'm not sitting in the house. I make it CLEAR once again, that I'm leaving and will be back. So I thought.
10 Mins Later -
Once I get to the park I do my usual routine. Stretch, sit down and read and listen to music. Relaxing.
I realize there is nobody at the park. With that being said, I always have a weapon on me. Regardless of, if its a knife, or pepper spray. The feeling that I always need protection is there.
My mom tells me all the time; "Be aware of your surroundings, and never go anywhere with strangers."
That plays over and over in my mind everytime I walk out of the house.
Times like this is great for protection. Being by yourself is nice. But not in a park surrounded by woods and old swing sets that creak. That's just creepy. Without any other thought, I just continue what I'm doing.
---
While sitting on the bench, I'm listening to my favorite song "Light In The Hallway" by pentatonix. It makes me feel safe. It always has. Instead of just sitting here, I want to relieve some tension so I decide to run around the track a few times. I'm sweaty and tired, but I have to keep pushing. Motivation is the key.
While I'm running a man that I have never seen before comes up beside me and ask if we can run together. I tell him sure. Not thinking anything of it. About five minutes of running with him, I begin to slow down. Considering I've been running for the longest. "Let's go take a seat." I say, not wanting to be rude and just walk off. Which I should've just done.
"So, what's it like here?" He asks.
"Kind of boring on this end. I don't live down this way." I gulp down a drink of my water.
"Well where do you live?" He asks. Looking at me with this psychotic look in his eye. I tell him that I don't live far from here. But without saying another word, he just smiles. Showing his nasty rotten teeth. Ew. This guy has a creepy fucking mouth. But I guess.
"Going to run again." I sprint up and begin running around the track. Hoping that he won't follow me. I was wrong.
He gets up and jogs behind me. "I'll join you." I look around, there is literally still nobody at the park. Wrong day for me to come. ; As we're running, he's looking at me with this creepy smile. Before I know it, he tries to grab me.
"What the fuck? Get off me!" I'm pushing him and pushing him, but his grip is too intense. I'm way too weak to get him off me.
I pull out my pepper spray and spray him. To my surprise, it doesn't spray.
I hit him in the eye with my elf ear pointed elbow and continue running towards the exit of the park. He's coming after me.
"Bitch come here!"
Oh my god. I pick up the biggest log I see, and hide in the bushes. He runs right past me and I step out a few seconds later. Going up behind him, I smack him with all the force and anger in my body. His body hits the gray cement immediately. Good. I knocked him out. SO I thought.
I make a small circle to run around his body, but not too close. i thought he was unconscious. But i guess i was wrong. He grabs my ankle digging his finger nails into my skin. What the fuck? Oh my gosh. After getting his grip loose, I pick up the log again and beat him in the head 3 times.
This time, I'm sure he's knocked out. There's blood. Everywhere.
His body laying completely still, his eyes closed.. and he's not breathing.
I get my belongings and run as fast as I can, almost missing my car.
