Screwball and Mothball continued to dance and talk, not knowing Screwball's parents were watching in the distance. "You know Screwy, your beauty never ceases to amaze me," she rolled her eyes,
"Of course you'd say that Mothy... trying to 'amuse' the girl" he kissed her on the lips to shush her,
"Shhhhh just enjoy it while it lasts... I don't have to say these things you know," she giggled. Discord sighed; his little girl really was all grown up, and it really did seem like she didn't need him anymore. Don't get him wrong, he was happy that his little girl was safe and happy with the boy she loves but Discord really was going to miss his little girl, Fluttershy watched Discord and interrupted him from his thoughts. "Discord?" She asked gently, "are you alright, dear?" He frowned,
"Just look at them, Fluttershy! What do you see?" She smiled,
"A happy couple?" He pouted,
"I don't think Screwy realises I'm here anymore..." Fluttershy hugged her husband,
"Awww Discord! Of course she realises you, she just has her own family to take care of and she's just making her own life... she will always need you because you are her father!" He smiled,
"Thanks Fluttershy..."
As the music started to end, Screwball and Mothball stopped dancing and he kissed Screwball's cheek afterwards. The couple turned around to find their children but when they did, they saw a stallion kiss Moonlight's hoof. "WHAT?!" Mothball squealed, "since when did he ask my daughter to dance?!" Screwball looked at her husband confused,
"Mothy they just danced... I've never seen this side of you..." little did Screwball know, he sent a telepathic message to his daughter telling her to come over this instant.
Moonlight had just finished dancing with Castor when she suddenly got a message from her dad to tell her to come over to him immediately, "Cal, we gotta go Dad wants me..." she was confused to see her father in such an angry state, "ummm Dad are you alright?" Screwball was standing next to her husband in confusion as to why he was so angry,
"Who was that stallion?" He asked simply, Moonlight blushed,
"Listen, Dad, it's not what you think. Me and Callisto was just talking and he came up to me and asked if I wanted to dance... thats all!" Mothball turned to his wife,
"She isn't lying..."
"Moony if I ever catch you with a stallion again, I'm bringing you both straight to me and before you do anything, anything at all, you introduce me to that stallion, is that clear?" Moonlight just rolled her eyes,
"Yeah yeah, whatever Dad,"
"You know I have mind controlling powers and I can control your mind if you really push the limits young lady!"
"Mothy that's enough!" Screwball stomped, "sorry, Moony, you can go back to whatever you were doing I would like a word with your father," she glared at Mothball.
"Ummm ok... lets go, Cal" and the two siblings walked off. Screwball dragged her husband out of the ball room and into the lobby of the castle. "What the hay?!" Screwball began, "what was that all about Mothball?" He crossed his forelegs,
"Did you not see what I saw!? He kissed our daughter's hoof! They danced before introducing himself to me!" Mothball ranted, Screwball started getting irritated with her husband,
"Mothy it wasn't even a big deal, nothing happened! And even if he did ask her to be his girlfriend, Moonlight would've told us!"
"But we should at least set some guidelines for the future!"
"Mothy there is no 'guidelines' for love! Do you know who you sound like?"
"I sound like who?"
"My dad! Mothy he wouldn't let us be together, your mum and my dad pushed us apart and even when you were engaged to me my dad was still suspicious. Mothy, you need to learn that some day she will probably get married and have a family of her own, but that doesn't mean you should hate that... I never thought you were like this!" Mothball stopped to think about it for a minute. He then let out a heavy sigh,
"Your right... I'm sorry Screwy, I should have been less hard on her," Screwball nodded and placed a hoof on his shoulder,
"But I don't think it should be me your apologising to..."
"I'll make it up to her when we get back to our room... for now lets just enjoy the night."
Moonlight and Callisto were just walking around the ball room trying to find their aunt Twilight. Suddenly they saw Flash standing outside the door to the Canterlot Gardens, the two dashed to him at once. "Woahhhh, slow down kiddos!" Flash exclaimed,
"Sorry Uncle Flash but do you know where Aunt Twilight is?" Moonlight asked excitedly,
"Oh she's just in the Canterlot Gardens taking a stroll..."
"Alright! Thank you!" siblings then dashed through the gardens hoping to find their aunt. After about ten minutes of endless searching they finally found her, "Aunt Twilight! We finally found you!"
"Oh hello, Moonlight, Callisto... did you need me?" Callisto nodded,
"Yes, but we kinda need to talk to you in private..."
