The person I imagined Liz to be is in the multimedia section! I made the edit myself. I'm so proud of it. Hope you like it! And Carrie Underwood is such a beautiful person.

Comment a song for the chapter? :)

Chapter 1: Code Pink

**************************************

The beeping sound of the intercom disturbed my concentration from finishing the pile of paperworks on my desk. Pushing the answering button, I went back to work as my secretary spoke through the intercom speaker.

"Miss Adams?" The nervousness in her tone is clearly heard. She was probably scared and unsure because I warned her not to let anyone disturbed me. Therefore, no calls or appointments.

But here she was, talking to me. I should be mad but I trust her. She won't disturbed me just to talk. Maybe there was something really important.

Not taking my focus off from my work, I answered, "Yes? What is it?" My tone was soft and a bit assuring to silently let her know that it was okay to talk to me.

There was a slight pause on the other line. I kept quiet, waiting for my secretary to reply. However, she didn't say anything and I was getting annoyed and impatient by the second.

"Sophie, hurry up! I still have lots of work to do. If you don't have anything to say, don't waste my precious time."

That seemed to get her attention because she quickly said, "I'm so sorry for that boss!" She sounded frantic and surprised. "I was talking to your sister. She's on the line and she had been pressuring me for quite a while now although I kept telling her you were busy."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "My sister? What does she wants?"

"She requested to talk to you, saying it's an emergency. Something called," she paused. "Uhmm...code pink?"

My breath hitched. Pink?! That's the worse of all! My mind wandered back to the day we made the sisters' agreement. The one we still keep & follow up to this day.

"Boss? Are you still there? Should I tell her to call you back?" Sophie's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"No, no! Connect her to me now!" My voice came out hoarse. Clearing my throat, I made a mental note to calm down so I took deep breaths repeatedly.

"Right away Miss Adams." I heard some rustling sounds and buttons being pressed until Sophie said, "It's done. Your sister is on line one."

"Alright, thank you. Anything else?" Although I was very worried inside, I need to be professional and unfazed.

There were sounds of Sophie flipping some pages before she spoke, "Not at the moment but I've rescheduled all of your appointments."

Nodding in approval, –although she can't see it– I thanked her. I hung up her call and almost instantly pressed the glowing number one button.

"Michelle! Is everything okay? Why code pink?"

"Liz! Thank God! I've been trying to call your phone for half an hour now!" She was frustrated alright. Her voice says it all. After apologising and explaining to her that I switched my phone to silent mood so I can concentrate, she replied, "Don't do that again. It will cause you problems in the future."

I know she means well but I can't wait any longer. "Alright. So what is it? You would never use our most hated colour if it's not important."

"It is important! That's why I've been calling you like a maniac!" She screamed through the phone.
