"Drive her wild with hints that you know when she'll die."

Lacey walked through the boardwalk, her small bag hanging on one shoulder. The girl's eyes, which used to be a warm and hopeful brown, have drained into a sullen, woeful black filled with pain and exhaustion. Her hair had gotten darker and a bit straighter, different from her usual bouncy curly hair from before.
3 years had left Lacey into a rotting shell. Lacey who always preferred Toms and flats had found her way into a pair of combat boots she wandered upon in the woods. Lacey didn't like the idea of taking a pair of brand new shoes, in the leaves, just waiting to be taken, even with a pair of socks in the left shoe that magically fit her feet perfectly. But Lacey's feet had been blistered, cut, and wet from the poor material not designed for hiking, so she decided to take the little miracles and leave without complaint.
Lacey's clothing style also changed. The teen was used to sunny and humid Alabama but instead was chucked into a dreary, cold, environment, being teleported from place to place, from states to different dimensions all together. When she was in New Jersey she ran into a clothing store trading her thin flannel and light jeans for an actual coat and jeans that didn't cling to her body and didn't have holes in them. She walked out without paying a cent, hearing yelling going on behind her as she swiftly exited the shop leaving behind the angry middle aged cashier and back where she came from.
"HeyLace, whatareyoudoing?" Lacey didn't bother to look up just scribbling on the piece of paper in her journal. "It'snotpolitetoignoresomeone. Wouldn'twanttocallthe'big man'again, wouldwe?" The man spoke again, but his words fell on deaf ears as Lacey yet again ignored his cries for attention.
"Lacey!" The shadow became irritated kicking her shoe and Lacey rolled her eyes.
"You seem oddly talky and cheery today Observer. Would you like to share anything?" Lacey asked not looking up from her notebook. "Youwouldn'tmindconfirmingwithme, would you?" The man asked as controlled as possible.
"About Noah Maxwell?" Lacey spoke up adding some finishing touches on her drawing.
"Yes.Whatareyoudrawing?" He asked and Lacey tugged back her journal glaring at the man. "None of your business! Anyway..." Lacey continued flipping to another page.
The dark haired girl flipped open the notebook and showed the man her masterpiece she drew about a year ago before the 'Big Man' caught up to her. "Noah Maxwell will fall with grace as insanity will overtake him and will finally give up the journal and accept his fate as Firebrand, the stubborn." Lacey recited plainly and closed her journal and put it on her lap.
"Andthisisaccurate?" He asked.
"Yes very accurate, I assure you." Lacey said with distaste and rolled her brown eyes again. "Thankyou,Lacey.Haveawonderfulday."
"Yeah whatever." Lacey shook off his farewell and re opened the journal. Lacey smiled at the page behind the one she showed of Firebrand.
"Sucker..."

Lacey stared down at her drawings, the teen had bags under her eyes from the nightmares that plagued her mind. She soon realized that her dreams weren't of the future, but of the past. Lacey had concluded that this phenomenon happened because someone was about to enter her life. This happened for other roles in Lacey's life, like Observer, Firebrand, Deadhead and so on. Though she usually got only one important memory, that suited her up.
