"I dunno how much more I can take this..." I told my best friend Addison as I adjusted the straps on my dress. She smirked at me. "It's gonna be fun! Don't worry. You'll have tons of fun. I swear or else I shall step barefoot into a room of legos!" she joked, making me laugh a bit. I put my hair up in a high bun, and added a bit of blush to my pale face. Turning around and pretending to be a princess, I swirled and showed off how "Glamorous" I looked. Addison gaped her mouth open. "Winter... You look... amazing!" She said, and I blushed, or... did I blush? Can someone blush when wearing a crap ton of fake, artificial blush already? I dunno... Aaaanny way... I sighed and put on my high heals. Addison looked toward me. "You ready for this?" she asked, smiling ear to ear. I shook my head and walked out the door. "Of course not."

Addison, obviously not focusing on the road, put on lipstick while I manned the wheel. This is normally how it works with us. I'm the cautious, serious yet snarky, always play it safe chick who would rather hurl herself off the empire state building than focus on "Girly shit". I'm not saying that I have a white girl inside who occasionally has a craving for ice cream and Starbucks... but that's besides the point. Addison on the other hand is full on white girl, loves the outdoors, and is a popular fashon obsessed diva... in the best of ways. We met in the 1st grade... and now we're Seniors in high school, about to attend a party that SHE got invited to. Since it was a +1... well, just put the pieces together. Never in my life did I ever attend a huge party from the cliques at my school. I'm kinda an anti-social girl who likes playing video games in what Addison calls my "Dank cave of Darkness" than go out shopping for "Adorable shoes". But hey! That's just me.

We arrived at the party, and I already could tell I was going to be sick. There were girls in slutty pink dresses and ripped panty hoes. I came to the party in a semi-short black party dress, topped off with the "Totally fabulous" tiny fake golden hoop earrings and some light red tinged lip gloss. Was I happy? Course not. I was wearing black 3 inch heels to a stupid party that I didn't even want to go to. Addison immediately introduced me to her "Friends" and they all smiled at me and waved like clones. I gave them a half-hearted wave and stood there awkwardly as they bombarded me with questions.

One of the girls, Ginnie, asked me if I went to their school. I nodded silently. "Why don't I ever see you around then?" Another girl, Perrie, asked with her head tilted. I opened my mouth to speak when I got cut off by Mariee-Le'Voir. The most popular girl at Lakewood. "It's cause she's a no-lifed loser. That's why." she sneered, and the other girls, as if on cue, began to snicker at her "joke". "Whatever." I said, and turned and walked away. Addison was "talking" with her boyfriend (and when I mean talking, I mean playing tounge wrestle in the corner) so I went over to the snack table to satisfy my need to pig out on food. I made my way over to the platter, and out of the corner of my eye, noticed a tall, fair guy staring at me a bit and began to make his way over to me. I heaved a sigh, but was immobilized by his captivating looks. Never have I ever seen someone like him, and stood frozen, like a deer caught in headlights, as he opened his mouth to speak to me.
